Tried fish and chips all over the country and nothing beats fish and chips from Quayside at Whitby but today than changed. Absolutely beautiful fish and chips and I tried my sons battered sausage, which was delicious too. Will definitely be back.
Visited this place after a night in the pub. Was closed but Gary is a legend so gets 5 stars on account of that alone
Stood between the Old Smithy and the close competitor unable to decide, but noticed that the owners of the Old Smithy answered both their negative and positive reviews which is usually a great sign of customer care. Didn't disappoint. Staff friendly, chips good, plain sausages were great!
Very friendly staff and cooked fresh to order! Lovely crispy batter and proper fish, and very generous portions. Chips were very tasty. Thanks for a great dinner!

Probably the best fish and chips I’ve had in my 39 years on this earth. Batter on the perfectly cooked fish was crispy and a pleasure for my tastebuds. The chips were delightfully light and cooked lovely. Can tell the owner must have a passion for his business. From Hebburn but can’t wait to go back
