"Public House since 1752, has been tastefully renovated and decor kept refreshed. Live music every Saturday evening, Jam Nights every Wednesday evening, 3 TV's to watch sport of your choice, Sky and BT Sports, 2 boxes so can have two games on at once. Serves amazing Ales, usually 4 on at once. Dog Friendly although needs to be on a lead, child friendly but we do have a 9pm curfew. Outside area with smoking shelter and heater. Played there in the band I'm in. Really friendly pub, good ale brewed on site. Had a good atmosphere for the gig, looking forward to playing there again next year
Moved here recently and this was the second pub we visited. Great, warm welcome by friendly staff and great banter with the very chatty locals! good mixture of bands on a saturday and a jam night on wednesday has made this a firm favourite of ours. Big bonus is the ales are brewed on site literally feet from the bar. Great stuff and well worth popping your head in if you are about.
Black Rose a rock band played there Saturday. Very good with a good atmosphere.

Best welcome in town. Let us order a takeaway Chinese, provided plates etc and let use eat it in the pub. Legend of a barman !!
Had an amazing night here. Never been before but loved the live music and the staff were lovely. Will be going back soon. Definitely recommend this place for a good night out. Also was nice and clean and good atmosphere.
Own brewery beers on tap. Not all to my taste but then I don't expect heaven on earth, but a place where the beer comes first. Well tidy proper pub with friendly atmosphere.
