Princess Pizza Party... We went to the Princess Pizza Party, the children loved it. They decorated the room prior to the event starting. The Children was handed a  little pizza making kit, and helped step by step making their own pizzas. Alongside that they did outer activities such as dancing and colouring and party games. The children loved the pizzas especially since they was extra special and they got to make them. Chips and juice as also provide and to top it off lots of ice cream. Belle was the Princess and she was amazing she made it very special for all children and included them all and made it fun for you the 3 hours the children was there. Really did put 100 percent in. All the staff was really friendly and really happy with the children all took time out to talk to them. Polite and professional at all times. We got a few different starters and deserts from menu again these was enjoyable. We will be attending more of these events and it was 9 pounds which massively helps these days when all is very expensive at this moment in time so I found it great and good quality for the money we paid. Really recommend the events :  Kid-friendliness: Really did go out of the way to engage with the children.  Parking: Parking there is plenty of spaces

So sorry to say this, but I went at 1 p.m., not long after the first service of lunch. The meat was good, and less fat than years previous. BUT... the leeks were not cooked at all, chewy and raw. The roasts were dry and I gave up, The new one's were there but NO staff to open it. Mash was dry and lumpy. Garden peas were cold, really cold. The only good veg was cauliflower, with a bit of nice cheese on top. "Al dente" does not mean uncooked.  I am a little apprehensive about going for breakfast, which we used to do regularly. 11.95 for cold, uncooked food is a bit much. Sorry because we used to go there all the time, veggie lovers love good veg BUT we expect the meat to be good when you only get a slice n half you really like good, well cooked veg!

Not been here in years, we went for mother's day and I'm so fussy. The food was so delicious, came out quickly and reasonably priced! Also noticed just eat people there.. they deliver too! Great food definitely with a visit  Kid-friendliness: They had mother&#39;s day colouring sheets which were a lovely touch to keep the kidd engaged

We live near the Old Mother Redcap so it is very convenient. The food is very nice but not quite hot enough. The only problem that I have got is the meat. If you have a bit of each you get 3 slices of meat. If you just want Turkey you get a very small portion which I don't think is right. You should get 3 portions of turkey but you don't. The person who serves it is very formidable so you don't like to say anything

We went for an impromptu carvery.  The carvery was very good.  As I was driving I ordered a lime/mint soft drink.  It was basically soda water and ice.  Would recommend or get that again.  I took it back to bar and asked for more flavour.Food: 4/5

Only popped in to collect a meal, but have been here pre pandemic and always found the place very nice. Food very good yesterday's take away was superb too, clean and very nice staff. Well worth a visit. Believe it gets very busy - which itself speaks volumes.Food: 5/5

Went for food with my partner, took our dog too and was welcomed and given water for our dog. Food was good and service was perfect, we have been a few times and never had any issues. Shinead was our server, very pleasant

Visited for breakfast again today as we do regularly, as usual the service was fantastic. There aren't usually a lot of staff at breakfast time and Natasha does an amazing job at making sure everybody is happy and has everything they need. The food was all nice, if I needed to be critical I would say the black puddings are always a bit dry/rubbery but I don't think this is down to the chef more the quality of the black puddings. For the price you pay there isn't really anything to be negative about. Will keep coming back here.

We ate our Christmas Dinner here and it was amazing!   I’ll be honest and say I was apprehensive as I had Christmas lunch here a few years before and before it was taken over by Stone House and it was disappointing but had eaten here recently and it had definitely improved.  It was well organised in that they hadn’t overbooked us all at the same time. We sat down to eat at 12, we ate starters and then we had the choice of carvery which was going up a table at a time.  The meat was cooked to perfection and the huge choice of veg kept being topped up.   The next wave of people arrived at 1pm and they were seated at the rest of the empty tables so the system started again with those.  There was enough staff about to help if needed and the whole system worked like clockwork and would definitely recommend.  Well done Old Mother Redcap…..you did yourselves proud !!!

Attended this morning for breakfast. There is always selection, which is good. I don't like certain things, and knowing I don't have to tell a waiter or waitress, no tomatoes is even better for me. It's cheap enough for what you can get.
