Absolutely amazing, the food exceeded expectations and was out of this world. We were all so shocked at both the quality and the amount of food. Everyone commented how amazing the food was, we all want to return for Christmas!! Being in the neighbourhood, l have always enjoyed the great service at The Old Maypole. Today was exceptionally so because l was assisted by Antonio without even making a purchase. He was friendly professional and bent over backward to support a neighbour outside of his normal working demands. On that please keep the service to the community up. I will always support your business.
Have been coming to this pub for years and as a regular i expected to be treated better. Came down with my son for an evening meal only to be told that the kitchen was not open,even though it was well past the stated time. We were told we would be first to know when the kitchen was open, being the only ones ordering food at this time i would have expected this courtesy but even though my son asked several times we were not informed. However a party of eight people were not only served before us,my son was told we were unlikely to now get anything to eat due to whatever problems the kitchen was having. I am afraid i was too annoyed to even complain at this point and left frustrated and hungry. I have spent a lot of money at this establishment over the last few years,but may have to find another place with better service Sean.
It was a wonderful time at the Old Maypole, the staff was helpful and a very good experience from my last visit. The food was always good when me and family come over for lunch here. Had a great time..
I have been visiting the Old Mapole for years . Thursday nights they have Karaoke and always such fun nights .Friday is Disco night and it has a great atmosphere . I find The Manager and all the bar staff are friendly and polite .They also have a sports bar area and a restaurant .I am sure anyone visiting will be made welcome .
Everything that we ordered was just great. The place is nice and the staff is friendly. Loved the food and the drinks. Sorry to the owners for the previous "bad review" but just did a bunch in hurry and thought it was a place i went the same day earlier. Really nice to have a place like this so close to my place. A pleasant gateway after a busy day. Next rime i hope to staynfor the karaoke too. My only "issue" was that i wish the woo woo cocktail had abit more alcohol and the pork belly plate had abit more of it in it. Other than that i had a great time. But i am from Greece everything there has more alcohol so thats understandable. If you live close by worth your time
Another great meal at the Old Maypole, the food never lets you down, the only place I will eat steak, always perfectly cooked, always sizziling. Great food and service. Well done to all the staff.
Food was great as usual, staff friendly and helpful as always - special mention to Rob who always makes us feel welcome and sorts any issue promptly.
Dropped in here as I was passing, so glad I did!! Trialed the festive menu, I cannot recommend the short rib of beef enough. Truly delicious. If youre passing like me or just looking for somewhere local. Drop in here, you won't be disappointed
