Old Hill Fish Bar

Slightly biased as my friends parents own this place, but the staff are very friendly, the portion size was massive mixed meat and chips and the price was very good. If you live in the area I'd definitely recommend giving this place a go, you won't be disappointed!

Food was really good in fact the best fish and chips I have had in the area for ages had to wait for fish to be cooked but well worth the wait. Staff were extremely friendly so I give 5 stars for atmosphere as this is a take away. will definitely return.Food: 5/5

wow, the FOOD IS AMAZING!! We have all been there, where the kids refuse to eat anything. Our 3 yr old finished off a cone of the best chips I have had. Even though I had a medium order from the last lot and a coneof fresh chips quality did not suffer, so delicious, told my mum who had some herself. You want quality, fresh food & excellent service get down the old hill fish bar.

First visit , a pleasant surprise. Staff very helpful. The cod was delicious , flaky and white. Waited 5 minutes it was cooked freshly to order. Chips were fantastic my 6 year old son claimed they were the best he's had . Really good local chippy, great value for money . Establishment itself was nice and clean. I'll be back !!!

Second visit today, went last Friday and decided to go again today. Fish and chips are excellent and really great value for money, you can pay more for inferior offerings, highly recommended if you like proper dripping fish and chips cooked properly! My wife usually gets indigestion from dripping fish and chips, not with these because they are cooked properly and the dripping is good quality and not overused. The staff are really pleasant and polite plus excellent service, you can’t go wrong here! Will definitely be going back on a regular basis for our weekly treat!

It seems to me that if you're not a regular, then you are not appreciated and should therefore steer clear. I once visited after working a hospital night shift during the Epidemic and was told that I "looked tired". Was it any wonder? I was quite surprised to learn that chip shop owners have now become medics! & so incredibly rude!! Proper nasty people. Stay well away from this awful place, and visit Our Plaice down the road. Our Plaice is amazing, and the staff are really lovely too, unlike The Old Hill Fish... can't even be bothered to finish the sentence .

Now, I'm a newcomer to this place, and I first saw this cosy little chippy when I was about 16, when i was looking for a job. They are so kind and considerate, even to this day when I pop in for a burger or wings, they ask me how I'm doing. Good on you, Indy, good on you

Brilliant chip shop with a variety of the tastiest kebabs. Piri piri,minted chicken beautiful. Chips are superb and the friendliest accommodating family run staff. All on my doorstep and only discovered recently after 3 years. My new chippy forever
