Very beautiful place. Parking £3 - 2 h by cash or app From parking around 20 min walking Amazing views
Absolutely gorgeous and terribly dangerous outcrops. A real adrenaline rush, the kids loved it. Definitely worth seeing. There are well marked paths to the beach which is also beautiful. Studland is a beautiful village but very expensive. Swanage is a 10 minute drive so would recommend you eat there.
One of the iconic scenery of the Dorset landscape! You can enjoy the view Poole and Bournemouth, Swanage in the distance and even Isle of Wright in a clear sunny day. Just be sensible not to stay too close to the cliff edge.
What a mesmerising view of the Dorset landscape. Old Harry Rocks is a spectacular cliff formation and one of the best places to visit on the Jurassic Coast. This is the very eastern end of the Jurassic Coast and the white chalk rocks gleam brightly in the sun. A great walk approximately one mile there from Studland, but worth it if you can make it. It gets busy at times and the views are awesome, move a little further to the right and get a better view. The wildlife going up and down to Old Harry's is fantastic as well, look out for the Miner Bees on the ground as walk along the sandy part of the walk, fascinating creatures. We have also explored the beauty of rock with boats, an another perspective to see and adore the beauty of the cliffs and hill.
There is a car park at South Beach which belongs to the National Trust. The car park is free to National Trust members or £5 all day or £3 for 2 hours. At the back of the car park is a field with picnic benches where you can have a picnic. To reach Old Harry Rocks If you turn right out of the car park and walk down the hill. At the bottom of the hill is a toilet. If you turn left at the toilet there is a path that goes directly to Old Harry Rocks. This path slowly climbs up hill. The path is between the trees. There is a path to the right half way up the hill that leads down to Studland Bay beach and a cafe, this is about 300 metres to the beach. If you continue up the hill to Old Harrys Rock. Once you have reached the top of the hill you will see Old Harrys Rock and across to Isle of Wright on a clear day. You can also see along the coastline. There are a number of paths to the right and left along the coastline.
Come here often either on a kayak or mountain bike! Either way offers a great view from the sea and land. There is a place to land here if you choose the latter. Plenty of photo opportunities to be had.
Well worth a visit, tremendous views, my only small gripe was the lack of any wifi or fast food outlet.
What a beautiful place to walk to. Just be aware not to go too close to the edge. I wouldn’t take small children here.
Beautiful place, better from the sea. Take a kayak a have a look
