Great for the price. Fab view from the top of the valley and a short walk down into Hebden Bridge. Cab back from town about £8, or a reasonable climb back up the hill. The toilets were portaloos but kept clean. Showers powerful. Also quite quiet for a sunny bank holiday weekend, which was good. Would come again, always enjoy Hebden Bridge too - plenty of good pubs and places to eat.
My partner booked this campsite for us and a few friends to visit at the weekend for my birthday and it was brilliant! Such a lovely view and a quick walk down the hill to hebden bridge which is always one of my favourite places to visit. On the site there’s a fab little breakfast truck with some outdoor seating on the weekends in the morning for tea, fry ups and breakfast sandwiches The showers are great too. You can hire some bits for a fire as well which was great Would recommend and would visit again! Thank you Anne!
First visit and it won’t be our last. Helpful owner. Fantastic location with stunning views and a short walk down to Hebden Bridge. Clean toilets and showers. Breakfast available on site. We didn’t try it but it looked popular. Could benefit from a lot more level pitches. Ours was a slight slope.
We had a super fun time at Old Chamber Camping! Well run campsite, with decent facilities in a converted barn, and a lovely position on the hills overlooking town. There's an honesty shed for eggs, ice cream and cake, along with a breakfast kiosk at weekends which serves up generous portions and tasty food. I'll definitely be back!
Warm welcome, super clean, regular rates and what a view! Exactly my kind of farm campsite on the Pennines Way. As a bonus, there's a genuine and spacious barn for those rainy evenings, with fridge-freezer and kettle, really handy, and a terrace outside to relax in the sun, if you're that lucky.
My son and his friends recently had their first unsupervised camping trip at old chamber post GCSE exams. Ann was super helpful when enquiring and for putting them up, and they all had a really fantastic time. They were very tired when they got home the next day
Absolutely cracking campsite with stunning views across the valley. Ann, the owner, is lovely and provides breakfasts on Sunday mornings which were tasty and reasonably priced. The facilities in the barn were good, clean toilets and nice hot showers. 15 minute walk into Hebden Bridge through the woods and plenty of bridleways around if you enjoy walking, we went up to Stoodley Pike and the walk can be started from the campsite. Already planning our return trip!
Ann is an amazing host and the site offers great facilities, basic, but just what you need.
We absolutely loved our stay at Old Chamber, as inexperienced campers it was ideal. There is everything you need in the barn facilities. Electricity for boiling water, charging phones/laptops etc with hot showers & clean toilets, with sinks for washing. But the view is the best thing it's so beautiful up there. The pitches are spaced out so you can keep to yourself if you prefer or have a chat with other campers in the barn. Fire pits are available to hire and you can buy wood and kindling at a very reasonable price. Also an honesty box for eggs that were delicious. The walk down to Hebden is easy 10mins follow the blue paint, I do suggest a taxi back around £7 as it is very steep for non pro walkers. We wished to stay longer and cannot wait to go back.
Great place to camp, gorgeous views, some right beautiful walks, if you have the energy and are fitter then me, lol, you could walk into a nice little quaint town called Hebden Bridge. There are other nice towns to visit just a few minutes drive. The staff here are great aswell. Keep it up guys.
