Didn't know what to expect. Very unassuming from the street. We had a dog with us, so that meant a long table in the sports bar with the football . A quirky rabbit warren. Menu is huge. Service a bit slow, but once it arrived - Wow! Best lunch I've had for a very long time. Excellent stuff. Complete hidden gem.
Great atmosphere, fab service & the best Sunday roast I can remember eating... Huge portions! And the best bit was it serves roast Sunday evenings- we don't like a big meal in the day, as it makes us too sleepy, so this was perfect as most places stop roasts by 5pm. Will be back! Nearby activities: Frome is an interesting historic quirky town Loads to see & do- 2 theatres, an independent cinema, antique & vintage shops. Also a live music venue & loads of bats, restaurants & pubs. Great place!
Vegetarian Cheese & Bacon, AMAZINGLY good. Vegan Lasagne AMAZINGLY good too. Vegan Canadian Burger. Better tasting than a meat burger! Vegetable and cheese soup. And all hand-made. What a Chef!Service: 5/5
Absolutely exceptional food, my partner commented on this being the best meal he has ever eaten out and you don’t understand how phenomenally fussy an eater he is, nothing was too much trouble to accommodate his needs. The food the cocktails the staff were all 100/10 will be back with a doubt, thank you for a beautiful meal, highly recommend xx
Five of us converged on Frome from disparate parts of the West Country. It was central and we wanted somewhere to meet, after two years, for Sunday lunch. What a find! A lovely, quirky, 500-year-old pub, with log fires and comfy seats. Not only that, a warm welcome from friendly, chatty staff and a menu that included an OAP's lunch - delicious and small enough to ensure we didn't fall asleep on the way home. I'm not a great fan of pub Sunday lunches, so tend to avoid them. However, I can honestly say this was excellent. Belly pork my choice, beautifully tender with crispy crackling as well as the usual choice of other proteins. Cauliflower, roast parsnip and potatoes, swede, mixed vegetables, super-tasty gravy, all served hot and cooked to perfection. All of us agreed this was as close to a home-cooked meal out that we've ever had - and you'll see from our choice of OAP portions - that we've had more than most. We'll be back again for our next reunion.

Lovely decorated pub with different themed rooms. Food was amazing. Unfortunately we had dinner ruined by a large group of young adults coming in and out of the back area swearing and being very loud. Would have been nice if the staff could of asked them to quieten down a little for those trying to have a meal. Staff were all lovely however a little chaotic. Although it seemed like it was only 2 on for the entire restaurant so gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Really tasty food with friendly and welcoming service. It's recently been redone inside and the bar is very close to some of the tables so didn't work very well when a big group came to stand at the bar but works if all have table service.Rooms: 4/5
