We had a delicious break on a longer journey here after lots of Googling to find a lunch spot. We were all very pleased with our choices, lovely, mild Thai curry and duck leg. Both men loved their cookie dessert and my Custard Eton mess version was lovely, but I realised it's nicer with fruit to cut through the sweetness for me!
Really, very good! Good selection of ciders and beer/ale Brisket was epic! My only feedback is the horseradish could have been coarser, but that's prob more of a preference than a criticism. Not cheap, but worth it.
Very charming village pub, like stepping back in time 30 years before the big chains sunk their evil claws into the pub trade. Log fires, low beams, wooden floor and pump clips displayed all over the ceiling and beams, plenty of REAL beer to choose from and a good spirit selection....only thing missing was sawdust on the floor. Garden area was lovely especially under the hard shelter which was heated and had spare blankets to snuggle up in. Would definitely love to return for an evening
We had a really nice night out, service was friendly, courteous and awesome. The food was delicious and good prices. Would definitely recommend a visit and we'll be returning to try our more the the dishes on offer.
Popped in tonight for food as visiting area with work, a lovely welcome and very delicious menu!
From out of town and I was disappointed by 2 things. The staff and the food. The food was mediocre . I had the chicken burger and the sauce I had was a teeny amount smeered onto the very middle section of the top bit of bread. It was so minimal that I could barely see it. Like it had been applied and then scraped off. Didn’t taste it at all! The whole meal was flavourless. I found re staff miserable. Like everything was an effort for them, no smiles or anything actually. Just bland like the food.
Food was really good. Lady serving was so lovely and Welcoming. Well worth a visit Great pub
The old badger inn was a choice for us because of the dog friendly reviews, it was worth the detour. The food was good and the staff were friendly. Dogs are allowed inside the pub, we chose to eat outside because we had just been on long walk and he was muddy and wet. The car park isn't the best. All in all worth a stop.
Excellent service, food and drink A perfect place to meet my Sister & Brother in Law midway between The Somerset Levels & Coventry. We will be back PS the fish and chips were fantastic
Excellent pub good food excellent service , dog friendly , very good atmosphere. Good old fashion pub with all the extras including a good garden area
