Poor service. I was expecting a call back from the triage/clinical  team and there was no call back. When I called back Okehampton medical centre they said they would pass on my details for someone to call me back at a set time arranged and I still received NO call. I went to the centre itself and was abruptly greeted and informed that they were under pressure. I may have had urgent issues relating to prescribed medication and general health as well as blood tests yet the Okehampton Medical centre said they could only offer a  call back for an appointment from a clinician end of August and it's beginning of July. So I have to wait 6 weeks for a call back?! I keep seeing different Doctors each time as well because they have either been transferred or left. If the Doctors spent less time striking and more time focusing on patient care then there wouldn't be so much of an issue. Clearly patient care isn't something the Okehampton Medical centre is passionate about or prioritising then!?

Again out of sheer frustration I review Oakhamptons wonderfull medical center, a week ago we received a text message to book an appointment to discuss a letter from a consultant. Since then I have without success tried for over 6 working working days to contact the medical Centre through their  phone in center 12 phone calls later and a total of around 2 hours and 10 minutes wasted on the phone with no result I still have not got an answer and still have no appointment with a DrnI even went down to the center to try and book an appointment , explaining why we needed to see a gp but was told no appointments available for FIVE weeks ??? Today 28th I have spent another 20+ minutes on an ever ringing answer phonenTototally frustrated  what a set up

The NHS is under huge pressure with extraordinary patient numbers but today the Oke medical centre have been superb - the whole team : reception , triage , paramedic , doctor and pharmacy have been superb , can't thank you all enough. Very fortunate to have such a great health service .

ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH! They diagnosed me with something I didn’t have take no responsibility for it!! The receptionist aren’t very professional either ! Everything is a virus you could break your leg and it would be viral! They are all just a waste of time there they don’t care about their patients they ignore complaints as they don’t want to hear it. I’m de registering and just not going to have a doctor as no doctor is better than the doctors at Okehampton even if you can even call them that!!!

I have had many bad experiences here; from being asked whether I was seeking drugs to get high when infact I was having panic attacks 5+ times per day, experiencing severe mental health issues and not being taken seriously by the doctors I had seen, to having a quinsy completely missed and not receiving the adequate treatment and aftercare.nnI have several chronic conditions meaning regular appointments. Every time I step in that building a sense of dejection and self doubt comes over me leaving me thinking why am I even there in the first place, knowing the level of care I've received before.nnFrom my experiences, the doctors should listen more and talk a bit less.
