Cosy little café with hearty food and friendly staff. This charming little café became our regular café during our week holiday here in Devon with the other half. Our accommodation was at the ‘Bird Box’ tree house cabin just down the hill from the station and this place was simply perfect. The breakfast’s we’re adequately portioned and not overpriced. I often think about this café when hungry for a full English in here in London! Be sure to say hello to the station cat. He tends to curl up on the chair next to the radiator by the entrance. 😊 Will definitely be visiting here in future.

We visited the station last Christmas with the children to ride the Polar Express. The whole evening was superb and provided lasting memories for the whole family. The experience isn't far from cheap, in fact, it's quite expensive. However, it really is the whole package which includes the conductor, elves, singing and dancing chefs and of course a very special visit from santa himself! Santa spends a little time with each and every child and gives them a very special present. The evening is made even better with hot chocolate and cookies all round. Highly recommended. Top tip: many people wear nightwear including pajamas and dressing gowns. This includes adults and children alike.
