Went to a Brisca Stock Car meeting here, it was a great evening.
Best stadium in the country for Stock Car racing. First came to Odsal in 1979 at the age of 3 and have been hooked on BriSCA F1 Stock Cars ever since. A crying shame the stadium was lost to the sport from 1997 - 2021. Thanks to Steve Rees for never giving up and getting the place opened again, and the current promoters YorStox for their continued hard work making the new track the best it can be.
Impressive venue now hosting BriSCA Formula 1 Stock Cars. Great high level views from the terraces. 27/28 May 2023 Great F1 racing again particularly on Sunday as the racing surface improved. Pity a about the music, the DJ having wound the sound level up to 11, even during interviews with the players! Wind it down please, we're here for stock car racing.
One food vendor was £4,50 for a coffee, walk further round and it was £2.50, which is still expensive. Also an ambulance was trying to leave and the marshals were rude! An ambulance didn’t come past for 20 minutes so bad organisation.
Colossal. Epic. Gargantuan. Historic. A lovely, family-friendly sporting day out in a stadium I'd always wanted to experience, especially existing as it does on the same footprint as when it broke the world record attendance for a rugby league match way back in 1954. It's stunningly apparent how this place once held over 102,000 for a Challenge Cup final replay. My first ever rugby match of either code and it didn't disappoint, Featherstone Rovers eventually triumphing 36-30 in a top-of-the-championship clash. Sad for the Bradford Bulls but a lovely crowd on a lovely day. All ages, shapes and sizes if not a particularly ethnically diverse audience. As an association football fan from Scotland it was quite the thrill to enjoy a beer on the terracing. Lots of beers and fatty food available. And neither too busy to be relaxed nor so empty the game lacked atmosphere. Part pilgrimage, part fun day out. Loved it.
Saw a Stock Car race meeting, very exciting. If you like motor sport great experience and good fun. Would recommend this event for all the family.
Went here for the bangers race day , kids really enjoyed it , very well priced and something different to watch. Nice seating area , wasn't overly busy which was great. Good selection of food aswell
My son's first time in stadium was a very hot day but worth it hqd perfect entertainment for children ride on Police cars and fire trucks
