Super service, good range of films and times. As soon as we arrived, someone came over to assist and get us booked in. A short wait for the screen to open but again were told when we could go in. Usual availability of popcorn, snacks. Sweets & drink with ability yo order it before you arrive. Good seats, good sound, and descent screens.
The popcorn and drink is a rip off at ten pounds now. Secondly the 'premier' seat is ever so slightly larger than a normal one. The back was not reclined which made it uncomfortable. Honestly with competition like Everyman cinemas I don't know how Odean is still open. Going to a cinema now is a rare treat. A luxury given how much money you can save by waiting three months to stream it instead. They either need to be cheaper or upgrade their seats and I certainly did not get my moneys worth.
Most bizarre experience at a cinema ever. Went to watch Creed 3, it was a good film but would have been even better if I could hear it over the people in the cinema. The film hadn’t even started and there was a group of lads who were so drunk, one stumbled and fell back into the row of chairs in frontwhy are you allowing drunk 16 year olds into a screen. There were girls at the back snap chatting with their flash on, watching videos on their phones aloud, there was a guy literally on the phone on loud speaker at one point, grown men running around and swapping seats and shouting over to each other. The doors kept slamming with people running in and out, it annoyed me so much. It’s not a cheap cinema, so don’t know why no one came in and either told them to shut up or get out, surely they have cameras or would have seen them running around.
Good experience on a Saturday night, really nice staff. Good popcorn and tango ice blast is always amazing. Toilets could use some TLC but otherwise great!
Cinema great staff helpful one did spoil the film was the row of boys at the back row behind my friend and me. Kicked back of my seat giggeled throughtout fiilm I did speak to them but iy didnt make a difference. On leaving cinema looking the back row was covered in popcorn cups it was discussting. Maybe staff member check while film is on.
Watching a "live screening" of The Barber of Seville, when a five minute warning came up in the centre of the screen, alerting us to the fact that the screen was about to turn off. Alerted a member of staff, returned to my seat, and a few moments later, the screen went blank. We waited a good few minutes for the screen to be turned back on. Unfortunately, this whole episode meant the performance was spoilt because we missed approximately 5 minutes. I was very disappointed with the attitude of the staff when i complained. How does a free drink make up for us missing part of the performance. Apparently, they monitor the showing every 15 minutes, and they get a 5 minute warning, so how did it get to the point where the screen turned off. According to other people at the screening, this is not the first time that a viewing has been spoilt by similar things happening. I'm very disappointed.
This place is disgusting, geting worst every day, everything is dirty, sticky and smelly stating with toilets and ending with the seats that 90% of them are all ripped, management don t care and make no improvements. For a family of 4 you pay £50 to watch a movie in a dirty smelly seat, waste of money
So enjoyed seeing A Man Called Otto at the Odeon. Its great that we have Multiplex cinemas in Chelmsford. There's a lot of good films around at the moment.
We paid for the premium seats. TT Hey we're not worth the money but the move was good enough so I did not pay too much attention.
Nice experience. Though worn out chairs in the cinema rooms in Chelmsford. They need to do better to take care of the property looks like it need maintenance
