Love my football and going to different grounds so as we were staying in the area we went to a game at Stenhousemuir. Really enjoyed the match although it was a surprise that the terracing was closed as I prefer to stand whilst watching a match. Only able to watch sat down in the main stand. Everybody was very friendly and welcoming and the pies were the best we've ever had at a match. Steak and haggis which was so good that I had another pie at half time whilst my partner had a bridie, a pastie to us English, but she said it was better than any pastie she'd ever had before.
I have not been to Ochilview for a few years nor have I kicked a ball there but my brother in law used to play for Stenhousemuir a few years ago and now my grandson has played there, unfortunately his team got beat in a final so not the best experience. The park looks like it has just been fitted with new AstroTurf and it looks great.
Decided to take in a game during a weekend in Glasgow. Three sided ground. Friendly enough clubhouse. Facilities the equivalent of English national league North at best. But a friendly bunch and looks like a good set up .
Lovely old fashioned ground. Excellent Steak and Haggis pie, excellent prices and everyone helpful.
Good to see they let there youngsters play on park
