A busy steak and grill house along the main road. Car park near by. Dinner served from 5pm. A nice seating area with outdoor and conservatory seating too. Food is served pretty quickly. Vintage decor with several rather unique looking statues and an old rock n roll theme going on. Good atmosphere and good food at affordable prices.. Friendly staff..
This is a must experience. Food and drinks fantastic. Memorabilia is a must see, its simply amazing. Made very welcome and looked after second to none. Blown away by the experience.
Food was OK, service very slow due to being understaffed. Still enjoyed our meal maybe we caught it on a bad night, it was busy as well.Great theming inside 50's vibe.
Don't be put off by the odd negative reviews by some of the keyboard warriors on here. This place is fantastic... Nothing wrong with the decor and the staff are lovely. Prices are way cheaper than similar places in town. Fantastic food. Great decor. And excellent value for money. Update 9/4/23 Just came back again... Even better than before. Warm friendly staff and great atmosphere. Food is amazing. If you love meat... Go for the mix grill.. you won't be disappointed.
I loved this place so much! Great atmosphere, ideal for America and Hollywood lovers, I had a feeling that I'm in museum. So many enchasing details taking you back in time. And beautiful garden too. Food was very delicious and staff was very friendly. Prices are reasonable. Great experience!
Amazing in every way....I'm fussy with steak but this was beyond perfect...the staff,the ambience and the food was the best I've had since I can't remember when.....and as we left 2 other couple came out at the same time and said exactly the same thing....do not skip by the opportunity to dine here. .well done and thank you

This place served one of the best steaks I've had in the UK! A good size, correct thickness, excellent tasting and properly cooked. All served with the perfect glass of Malbec. The restaurant was quiet with a nice ambiance of the 50's, and just one other couple - down to the time of year in Torquay... The menu is reasonably broad and the service was efficient. Parking: Like most of England, parking can be difficult, particularly in the summer season. However, in this case there is a city paid parking lot behind the restaurant.
Great meal at Mr Cook! Lovely setting, nice outside area. Our food was cooked to perfection and delicious! My husband had Lamb shish, and it exceeded our expectations! The meat was very tasty, tender and succulent. I had Captain seafood platter and enjoyed every piece of the fish I ate. The portions were generous, probably a bit too much, didn't need all those chips :- Overall, it was a great experience! We would definitely come back, if lived locally!
Wouldn't say it was a typical Steakhouse menu, had a bit of a Turkish spin going on. The food was very nice and the staff were super friendly. The place was a bit chilly but I think we just caught it on a quiet day.Food: 4/5
