Tour and tastings were excellent and highly recommended. Mike, our guide, was extremely personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about Oban and whisky. We enjoyed seeing the equipment and process that this famed distillery uses to produce such beautiful drams. The history here is well worth visiting and learning about!
Very informative and entertaining tour. I am not really a whiskey drinker, but learning about the process was really interesting. And the history of the distillery was particularly fascinating. It even persuaded me to partake of the samples included in the tour.nAnd our tour guide, Andy, was quite charming. I highly recommend the tour.
An exceptional tour. We did Guinness, we did Jameson but Oban is in it's own league. A tour of an actual working distillery, makers of one of the best single malt scotch available, this brings you through explaining the scotch making process in the facility where it's actually made and has been since it's founding in late 1700s. Tastings of different whiskeys, a knowledgeable and engaging guide it is easily worth the price and time. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
Andy was a lovely tour guide. He was informative and funny. And a good salesman! We so enjoyed our tour of the distillery and highly recommend combing the gift shop for some wonderful goodies.
Really cool, dynamic, and interesting tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and was great at asking questions. They're also very accommodating if you aren't drinking or are driving and let you take the samples with you rather than drinking them on the tour. Would definitely recommend.
