I enjoyed both the courses I have taken with the Online Learning College/Oakwood Home Learning and have just completed my Childcare Level 3 Course. I found this one more challenging, but the qualification is worth it. I found having the notes posted very useful as it meant I had a folder of information to study from without having to log in to read lessons off the screen all the time. My tutor marked my work quickly and gave feedback and advice when I asked about specific questions. Some elements of online learning are trickier as you don't have face-to-face contact, but it has been a good experience and the best option for me. I would definitely consider taking another course online in the future.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I would NOT recommend this company for furthering your education. I was a student, doing the Level 3 homebased childcare qualification, and I left half way through the course as there was no feedback to identify what criteria had been met. Feedback would continually ask for more detail  this was for all questions and when the information asked for was supplied, I would be asked to do all the questions all over again. when identifying information for a question, I was aked to explain in more detail, even though the question had asked me to identify  I suspect that the assessor felt that I had to complete what they wanted me to complete never mind if the work met the criteria. I ended up completing 3 versions of the entire qualification and yet not 1 piece of criteria parently  had been met, after being asked to complete the questions a 4th time, the unfair treatment was too much and made me leave. There is no clear complaints and appeals procedure, who the IQA is and Who the EQA of the awarding body is.  I am a tutor, assessor, lead IQA, implementing strong IQA practices, so NCFE CACHE and PEARSON have written in our EQA reports. so I know what disadvantaging a learner looks like. I don't know if this was because your assessor is unaware of their harmful practices or its a money making scheme to keep learners so they pay extra.  POOR POOR Practice by this training provider. REED employment agency recommended this provider, I will be informing them of the poor practice I recieved. If i could give no stars, that would be about right for this company and before you try and say I am fake news, I can screen shot the emails from my tutor and upload to this review

I was miss-sold the cache level 3 award in childcare and education, I was told it was 'just as good' as the diploma and that it will definitely get me a job afterward, after scrambling £250 for the course, I then found it on Gov that this isn't a recognisable qualification, and it doesn't do anything. If a nursery takes you on with this your classes as a unqualified member of staff and cannot be left alone with children, or have any key children. Just trying to scam money out of people

I will upload my work and my lovely tutor’s feedback. I have renewed the course twice already. I think it’s the time for me to change to a fairer/ not too desperate course provider.  They tutor is trying his/her best to find any “mistake” they can spot to fail your assignments. I do suspicious that they just want you to renew the course again and again to make money.  Here are some my work examples and my tutor’s feedbacks. Just letting everyone get a vibe of the online centre.

I wouldn't recommend this company for the lack of support I have received. I enrolled on a course and quickly realised I had enrolled on an unemployable qualification course and suggest I go on to the diploma course, I was well within my 14 day period to candel but the tutor reassured me that it was an  employable qualification. I continued with the course under the advice from my tutor and then I received information that I have been lied to, this is so they get the fee for the award knowing full well you need the certificate or diploma so they would get double payment!! The course isn't employable and when I fronted them they basically said tough you carried on with the course so it's now after the 14 days. The managing director was extremely rude to me. What's worst they send emails and instead of confidentially emailing a group email someone decided to c.c everyone instead so there was hundreds of emailsm addresses exposed and since then i have been inundated with spam emails. I am going to take this further and just hope people don't get manipulated like myself. Very disappointed. Especially when I was so excited to get stuck in to a course in hope I would be fully licensed and qualified. What's more embarrassing and alarming is that the review below mine saying it's a great college by 'David Lee's' is the managing Director of the college. Sad when you have to review your own company.

An absolute fantastic college with superb tutors who help with every step of your course I have completed two courses with Oakwood home learning- online learning college and wouldn’t hesitate to study with them again but having a break from studying for a while will recommend to friends and Colleagues who wish to study further !!!!! my girl try to do cache qualification teacher who check esaay always is not happy give feedback and describe totaly diffrent subject non specifies in main subject.They just waste time and belive that you paid next 300 pound for the same cours such shame.Non support,poor books and high demands.
