"Our history in Ayrshire can be traced back to the 1930s. If you'd like to see how we've developed and expanded over the years, take a look at our history section.Keri Cosby is our Practice Principal and can be found mainly working in our Saltcoats surgery. Working under their direction are a brilliant team of vets, nursing staff and receptionists. With surgeries in Largs, Saltcoats, and Dundonald, the vets work across three sites. Some vets are more likely to be seen at certain branches than others, but we can arrange for any vet to be seen at any branch if specifically required. Our nursing staff are based at the larger branches in Saltcoats and Largs where the majority of operations and procedures will take place."

I was very happy with my experience at The Oaks Vets. I was made to feel welcome when I walked in to reception. When I saw the vet, Sarah I was reassured by her. I will definitely use The Oaks again if needed, excellent service.
The oaks vets are a brilliant business. They make you feel comfortable in the knowledge they are looking after your fur babies. If you're anything like me and my husband and see your pets as family members, this is the vet for you. They always make sure you know exactly what's happening with your pets treatment and they're really affordable. They even have payment plans that help you ensure your pet is always cared for. Would definitely recommend. Our cats, River and Ivy approve.
Terrific team. Able to accommodate an emergency appointment while on holiday. They were in communication with our local vet. A few injections and the dog was back to good health within a few days. Would recommend.
At one of the saddest days in my life, when my old friend Kane a 13 year old German Shepherd had to be put to sleep. The Oaks we're fantastic and seen us within the hour, when we arrived we were offered a private room to go straight into. Shortly afterwards the old boy took his final breath in a dignified manner. I cannot thank the oaks staff enough for everything that they did for us, right down to several days later when we received a hand written card off sympathy from the oaks. A definite five stars plus for this wonderful vets.
Joined the vets for my two cats two years ago, and they have been fantastic! Recently we got a puppy and took him to get his second vaccine. The staff were amazing, they absolutely loved him and gave him so much fuss really relaxing him and me. The rooms and reception area were nice and clean and enough space to sit and wait. I would recommend The Oaks Vets to anyone, the staff are amazing, the prices are good and the areas are clean.
Down on holiday and dog got an ear infection, vet seen us within an hour and a half and got prescribed meds and pain relief, everyone was so nice. Considering we are not from the area the service was great
My cats caught fleas straight to vets and problem sorted in 10 mins. Lovely vet and great at explaining process. Will be back in 3 months.
After a nasty accident they took our cat at very short notice and we were booked in for surgery the following day with excellent aftercare also
Don't like this veterinarian since it was taken over several years ago, it just hasn't been the same since and afew people seem to agree 'its went to the dogs' so to speak. I have nothing good to say, it is a business without any heart which fair enough, because it's a business after all. They're at times abit robotic and cold, I personally think it's important for some compassion in vets aswell as good communication which most of them seem to lack during covid and they only had an emergency line which was frustrating to say the least when we were trying to care for our elderly and beloved dog especially as you couldn't just pop in to talk to someone. They also have a pet plan that seemed to be very fair, but the company kept taking money out on the wrong dates which created charges at my bank, I think this was also a communication issue on their part again but its a separate company so I won't anything else about it. I only wish they had shown abit of compassion during a difficult time and I'm saddened by our experience with them, it makes me feel sick to my stomach when I look back on it now.
Really helpful staff, cheerful knowledgeable, and caring, a good experience.
