"Our history in Ayrshire can be traced back to the 1930s. If you'd like to see how we've developed and expanded over the years, take a look at our history section.Keri Cosby is our Practice Principal and can be found mainly working in our Saltcoats surgery. Working under their direction are a brilliant team of vets, nursing staff and receptionists. With surgeries in Largs, Saltcoats, and Dundonald, the vets work across three sites. Some vets are more likely to be seen at certain branches than others, but we can arrange for any vet to be seen at any branch if specifically required. Our nursing staff are based at the larger branches in Saltcoats and Largs where the majority of operations and procedures will take place."

I would just like to take the time to thank The Oaks Veterinary Centre Saltcoats for taking care of my lil Remi when she went in for her emergency c section today, the care and love they have for animals is amazing. The vet John and reception staff went above and beyond.I can’t thank them enough for the help. Will always recommend this vet to anyone. The vet reassured me on everything he was great and put my mind at ease. All staff was so caring and friendly. Thank you again x
I would like to thank all the staff for the kindness and consideration shown to my husband and I, when we had to take our much loved dog to be put down. The young lady that looked after us and poor Harry was so sensitive in dealing with such a sad situation, she made sure to give us plenty time with Harry and took time to explain everything and considered our wishes .nThank you .
Great staff warm welcome my dog went in for hysterectomy because of a infection was really ill but the vet surgeon and vets and staff help my dog get better and got her home and wasn’t eating probably brought back and the vets took time to help her to eat and took time to get my dog back on her feet couldn’t have asked for better vets and staff and oats vets would recommend them to everyone with pets thank you again everyone at Oats vets
This veterinary clinic excels in providing exceptional service and support, especially for neurodiverse individuals, setting it apart from others in the field. The Pet Health Club offers great value for money, and the receptionists and staff are incredibly friendly, clearly demonstrating their genuine love for working with animals.nnWhile the waiting room can become quite busy during peak times, the clinic thoughtfully provides a sensory box for people of all ages, a feature that significantly benefits neurodiverse clients and is rare in the industry.nnIn terms of accessibility, the Ardrossan South Beach train station is about a 10-minute walk through a park, and there is a bus stop directly adjacent to the clinic, servicing routes 11, 12, 18, and 585. These transportation options make it easy for clients to visit the clinic.
Was charged 379 pounds for annual booster and kennel cough for our two healthy dogs . This included worming and flea treatment which I will be buying over the counter from now on .nThere really is no justification for the huge increases in vet bills over the past couple of years .nThe practice is fine but I will be looking elsewhere for treament after being with Oaks for over 20 years .
