I recently visited Oakmere House for a late lunch, the food was nice and well presented and the portions not too big or too small, the wait between first and second course was a little longer than I would expect but not extraordinary, the tables were clean and set out for the next customers, the staff polite and friendly, at the time we arrived it was almost empty but most people where enjoying the warm day out in the gardens outside which there is access for through the bar area. The prices were reasonable for an eating house near London and it is popular with family's, the toilets were clean but tired and we did book before going. We enjoyed our meal and chose from the set menu I have been before and will go again.
Booked in for 14:45 arrived at 14:23 all in all we were here for 2 hours and 30 minutes got seated within 7 minutes I thought this was a good start Great location I would go again just for the location Food was good we ordered food we got We went to get the salad and rolls Mum started to choke on the roll as no staff have come over to take are order for any drinks yet mum gets up to go and a glass of water Mum asked for a glass of water from the lady in the green T-shirt as drinks was not ordered yet 10-15 minutes it takes someone to come back to take our drink order then I shouted at the waiter mum asked the lady in green to get a glass of water he apologised and went to get a glass of water quickly then we gave our drink order and food Picture 1 grilled salmon with rice and peas on the side .1 Picture 2 Rack of ribs pork belly three chicken wings Mac and cheese and dirty fries with dried onions and cheese sauce what cheese sauce ? 1 Fish and chips with Garden peas2 Sorry no Picture Kids Rocky horror 2 Picture 3 Banoffee waffle with ice cream 1 Rack of ribs to go at the end to takeout Sorry no Picture
This Harvester is fantastic, I have visited many over the years and the staff here are the friendliest, most efficient all round greatest members we have encountered! The food was fantastic and it was so well organised! The best thing is you can walk through the park and enjoy what it has to offer before or after food and you can make it a real afternoon with friends and family! Cannot recommend enough! Thanks a lot :
Nice cosy place and lovely building. Food and service was fantastic, still like the good old harvester from the old days - apart from the price of course! A nice little find and better than most harvester branches!
I went for a festive meal with friends and I was impressed with how succulent the turkey was. We chose as it because it had some of the better vegetarian options for my friend. You couldn't fault the price either, we did main and dessert and we were all happy with our meals. I would recommend heading there for a festive meal. One thing that did frustrate me was all the messages about cancelling my reservation and yet when I got there, there was no reservation to be found!
Was quiet and a good atmosphere. Our waiter owen was wonderful and very lovely and polite. The salad was delicious had an amazing meal with my friends. Good temperature in the building and the toilets were nice and clean. Good lighting also. However a few meals were unavailable during my visit which was disappointing Dietary restrictions: Asked about allergies
Booked this morning for my wife’s Birthday dinner. Restaurant was happy to accommodate the large party. Food and service was spot on. If needed to ask for anything, was met with a smiley face and a helpful response. Food was outstanding, salad bar was also very fresh. Thank you Team.
Lovely, attentive and kind staff made this visit very comfortable. We had a relaxed breakfast before meeting a lovely Santa who spent time make conversation with the kids in an engaging way. Value for money was excellent. Free parking is a bonus. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Excellent veggie and vegan options that were yummy. Kid-friendliness: Great value for kids. Also little activity packs that are brilliant. Kids really enjoyed their food.
Visited Harvester for my birthday, excellent food and service. The waiter Owen was polite, friendly and efficient. We visit on a regular basis and we are never disappointed . The only negative - my son and I would have liked more chocolate and toffee sauce with our ice cream!!Food: 5/5
Great food and on a beautiful dining room surrounded by a lovely park, plus easy parking. Service a little slow compared to our previous visits, but to be expected on a fairly busy lunch time. Please have elder-flower cordial and your signature ribs available asap. Parking: Easy parking with ample marked bays
