Story

We are a further education college based in Hertfordshire, with campuses in St Albans and Welwyn Garden City, providing full and part-time courses for around 10,000 students.

We aim to give students opportunities to reach their potential and become more independent, ready for life after college.

While we encourage our students to be more independent, we provide support for all our students to help them succeed in their studies and develop into rounded young people.

We work closely with local employers to ensure we are teaching our students the skills they need to stand out in the crowd, whether they want to get a job straight after college or go onto university.

Visited the college grounds for the annual Foodie Festival. We had beautiful weather, a large assortment of street food & drinks options, with a performance from Sister Sledge & other talented singers.

Oaklands collage farm was fun with the kids and still waiting for weather to get warmer to take the kids again. It’s good to have this beautiful place close to my house.

Foodie Festivel St Albans June 2023. Massive place. Difficult to find way and signs bit great! But good set up and wonderful grounds! Good choices. Good music

Our daughter did a dog grooming course here several years ago which went well. We've attended the 'Foodie Fest' for the past 2 years which has been fun and mostly sunny!

Awful College. They have forced the closure of a popular bridleway to the public that runs past it using the excuse of 'building works' even though students are allowed to access it. The 'alternative path' they have created 6 months later is a muddy bog and completely unuseable to cyclists or walkers unless you have wellies. They clearly have no respect for the local community!

This place is worse than the trenches of world war 1, never have I ever experienced some where so vile and horrific in all my years of living. I would recommend auschwitz over oaklands college.

Attended an open day which was well organised. They have a wide range of courses available and seem to have a good student support system in place.

I am enjoying my ICT course at Oaklands college, the ICT staff members are very approachable and helpful. Teachers motivate me to achieve my best at all times, they have helped boost my confidence and have ensured that my work is produced at a great level. I recommend the college and the course for my friends and those who are seeking to go to college.

Road humps I've been visiting oaklands for about 2 years now and I'd like to know what moron signed off on installing those brutal Road humps I've just witnessed a Toyota aygo lose it's exhaust and she was only doing 10 mph be warned unless you're driving a large 4×4 someone needs there backside kicking

I have worked at the college since January 2023 as an interim Manager. The senior management team are all very talented and professional in all aspects of FE. Staff that I know are extremely professional and passionate about learners' successes. The College has extensive building work being carried out that will further enhance the quality of education for all. Come and join  us for September 2023-2024.
