Oakham Railway Station, serving the town of Oakham, Rutland. Very handily placed towards the town centre for easy access. Regular services towards Birmingham New Street and Stansted Airport are great for a small town like Oakham. From personal experience, the trains always run 5-15 minutes late on these services! Saddened by the lack of EMR services towards Corby. Bins and seating available on site. Thankfully the level crossing is accompanied by some stairs, allowing pedestrians to cross when barriers are down. All-round, a lovely station.

A nice little railway station. It hasn't changed much in years. The old signal box, the Footbridge where you can get a great view of the station itself and the tracks below.nWatch the long goods trains passing under the bridge while you stand above.nLook at the long lines of traffic waiting to cross when the gates open.nTrains go to Leicester and all the way to Stanstead Airport.nOr just pass time on one of the platform benches people watching before heading to the pub next door.

Ticket Machies are shambles waited 2 hours to find staff member but they were understandingmissed my train overall... DONT COME HERE
