I went this evening to see the rock orchestra.nEntry took no time at all and the lady at the box office told us where we had to go to get to our seats up on the balcony.nThe concert was fabulous with amazing set design which was beautiful, the lighting really made it and changed through out and did it without making you want to have a fit!nDuring the intermission My other half went to the bar, I thought I wouldn’t see him for half an hour but he was back with in min with two perfectly chilled drinks for us and commented on that it was cheaper than a gig we went to recently else where.nWill definitely be looking to see what else they have on there as it was a fantastic night out that was a bit different
The O2 Guildhall in Southampton is a fantastic venue for live music and events, offering a mix of historic charm and modern entertainment. Located in the heart of the city, the building’s classic architecture and grand interior create an impressive backdrop for any performance.nnThe acoustics here are excellent, making it a great place to enjoy live music. Whether it’s a rock concert, comedy show, or classical performance, the sound quality is consistently high. The intimate setting also allows for a closer connection to the performers, adding to the overall experience.nnThe venue is well-organized, with efficient staff who manage the crowds well, even during sold-out events. The seating is comfortable, though some areas have better views than others, so it's worth checking the seating plan before booking. For standing events, the floor space is ample, and the atmosphere is always electric.nnOne of the highlights is the variety of acts that the Guildhall attracts—there’s something for everyone, from big-name artists to up-and-coming talent. The venue also hosts a range of other events, including exhibitions and conferences, making it a versatile spot in the city.
Lovely space for a youth orchestra concert. The seating arrangements were good, and views of the stage were great.nFully stocked bar, which whilst pricey was within the expected range for a venue.nEntry and exit were well organised and stewarded.nOverall a great evening was had by all of us.
Went to see kaiser chiefs at the summer sessions on Sunday. Amazing! Lovely atmosphere, great facilities and the no and low bar was a big hit for me while im pregnant. It was so nice to be able to see everything that was available for me and nice to be able to order without a crowd of people.
Massive building that looks rather grand from outside! Attended a Tom Jones gig there, which was outside and as they were catering for many, many people, they had the two bars running down either side and another big bar in the centre of the room. Bar staff were pleasant and polite. The toilets were clean, as was each room we visited.
