I took my daughter to her first concert here. We saw Paloma Faith and absolutely loved every moment. The guests and staff were all so friendly and everything went perfectly well.
Atmospheric venue. Bar inside stalls auditorium so you can buy drinks without missing out on music. Better stocked bar downstairs.
Went to see Hawkwind, the venue is easily accessed, beer prices are ridiculous £8 a pint, I don't drink as I live in the middle of no where but the people I was with do, so we won't out before it was easier.... I had a great view of the stage and the sound levels were spot on. Parking can be a little hard to find but if there are car parks dotted around, all in all it was a good experience, and I'm looking forward to the next time I visit
First time at this place.Went to see Mother Mother. Better experience than expected. Nice venue.
Good venue, and fast service at the bar. The box office was a massive help when it came to seating, i had booked an upper area seat, not knowing that leg room was limited being 6'3 and back issues box office managed to switch our seats for seats with better leg room. Minimum fuss and great customer service.
One of my favourite venues to watch bands. Great atmosphere and view both from the floor and the balcony if you prefer to sit. Only downside was the cost of the drinks and we couldn't pop out to get food.
The City Hall has always been a great venue and still is. It's just on the edge of the city centre and next to one of the universities. All of which means there's plenty of bars and eateries nearby. Bus routes and stations, the Metro and the railway station make travel easy and there's loads of taxis. The hall itself has good views of the stage. Security staff and serving staff were friendly and helpful.
Visited here on the 29th October 2023. Attended The Dead South concert. Was the best night of my life. Great group, music, atmosphere..also great staff, multiple bars, merchandise section there was for this one anyway . Got a lot closer than expected and even somewhere to leave coats and bags xx
Really good venue, good view of the stage from pretty much all of the stalls area. No seating downstairs when I visited allowing for big capacity. Bag checks slow down getting in so long queues when I visited. Didn't visit the main bar downstairs but the bar to the side only had very limited choice of cooking lager and it was pricey at seven quid a pint. Suggest have a decent pint at the Town Mouse, City Tavern or Five Swans beforehand instead!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Queen Extravaganza. Great venue and normally at these events the toilets are not great. Plenty facilities and quick serving staff at the bar 10/10.
