Good location and a fairly intimate sized room. The acoustics were good but the lights were often focused so that they were slightly blinding when they moved. It’s cool how this place has balconies as well as normal ground level - makes the most of the space. It gets really hot in there and it can be difficult to find somewhere to sit or stand so we ended up sitting on a ledge next to the stairs which unfortunately gave us pins and needles after a while to rest our legs.
Absolutely lovely venue with more room than expected. The upper levels provide an amazing view onto the stage and the sound travels well even further back into the room. There's enough lavaratories so waiting times during breaks are reduced. There's bars on both floors of the venue that also provide free drinking water when you bring your own bottle.
This is a fantastic music venue. Went to W.A.S.P. The sound was spot on. Managed to get a good spot to actually see I'm short, not a criticism! As I say, watch football, listen to music. Going in the que was quite long but was not long before we got in. Security has changed since I went last time, but not a hindrance. It was thorough and I must say a comfort feeling safe! There are signs clearly posted EVERYWHERE saying card only, but still people miss them. The bar was well staffed and quick to be served. The women's toilets were well stocked and rather clean for a rock venue. Thank you. The 02 Bristol is a very up close venue. Love it.
Went to the O2 to see Skid Row and was not disappointed. Good little venue that is well organised and has staff that seem to know what they are doing. The sound was good, the pints were tasty, if not a little expensive, but you kind of expect that at a gig.
Tremonti ... First time at the O2, parked up in thr multi story just around the corner, met with some folk in the pub opposite. The venue itself is small and makes for an intimate setting so all and everyone can get a decent view of the stage. Sound quality was amazing no distortion. Toilets were OK, never used the bar so can't comment on that. Would highly recommend if going to watch a band
It's a small venue so the gig feels pretty intimate. It's all standing, with a balcony upstairs too. On O2 priority I got into the venue in 2 mins, and pretty much left the venue within 5mins despite the massive crowds. My first time in Bristol, so pretty happy with the experience.
Great views wherever you are but I'd definitely recommend the balcony view. Drink prices were high but if you are a non alcoholic drinker like me there is soda water and ice on tap which I really liked. Staff were all first class. Was able to watch the incredible Snoh Aalegra and the young and incredibly talented TORA-I
Over-crowded. Too.many people for the size of the venue. Of 1600 people a third probably saw nothing. We had to watch through the holes on the staircase. The security was brilliant t though, keeping the stairs clear. Sam Ryder was great but the sound engineer needs to cut back the music so you can hear the words from the singer.
The venue makes for a more connected experience being relatively small and low key. The acoustics were decent for who we went to see. It was standing only but a seating area was available for less able and wheelchair users. I don't know if seating is avaliable upstairs as it was blocked off. So be sure to wear comfy shoes as you could be on your feet for a while. The stage has good sight lines from the floor although there is a distinct vantage point. Which is on the same level as the bar above the sound and lighting tech booth. you'll need to arrive early for that lol In my opinion the security were over officious but I guess we all have a job to do
Great venue, live music felt personal and up close again. Skunk anansie gig. Pricey bar but expected I guess for that kind of venue. Well organised by staff marshaling people.
