Great food and place to watch the soccer game! The food was delicious. There was a seafood chowder that was loaded with good stuff and so good. Seafood pasta and double burger were both in point as well. Easy walking distance on the main road in town.
Fresh, very tasty seafood. Great atmosphere. Genuinely friendly, hard working staff. Best night out since I can’t remember
Had lunch here today at 2o,clock .4 adults I Don,t normaly do reviews b but it was absolutely disgusting. My son who,s 33 ordered a burger it looked like the scrapping of 10 plates he did,nt eat it the chips were like rubber how anyone can justify letting that out of their kitchen beats me . I had the fish cakes they also were disgusting deep fried greasy and not nice ...the chowder was nice but overpriced at £14 considering g in lough eske Castle it's £9 .00. Won,t be back as it was just awful
Wonderful Sunday lunch - winner, winner, chicken dinner. Great amount of veg, gravy, potatoes roast and mash and lovely bacon wrapped, sage and onion stuffed chicken. Add a reasonably priced, tasty glass of Pinot Grigio and finish with an Irish coffee made by Coleen.... perfect. There's a lovely fire in the stoves front and back bar, a game football, ruby, GAA, etc in the TV and really friendly, helpful staff. Lovely.
This little pub had a great atmosphere, great beer and great food. Was super happy to find this place. Servers were super friendly.
Recommended by a local serving in the pharmacy and glad they did. Food, staff and armosphere was brilliant. If I ever venture to Ballycastle again I'll not be passing by. I would go as far as to say the highlight of my trip. Brian Annalong
We pretty much stumbled upon O'Connor's bar walking down Ann St while on our tour of Northern Ireland's coastal route and decided to pop in for a quick "refueling". I have to say we are all very positively surprised to have found this wee gem. I ordered a potato and leek soup which was lovely, served with a side of sour dough bread. Some of my mates got a seafood chowder and they were really satisfied with it too.
I ordered the hot seafood platter and was pretty satisfied. However, one of my fellow eaters ordered the seafood linguine. There was way too much oil in on the plate. He told the waitress and she obviously did not appreciate the complaint. For the rest of the evening any form of politeness was gone. This is not how a constructive complaint should be handled. We were ignored and did not get further orders.
Bar looks ok from the outside, however inside there's no ambiance. Personel is cold and they all walk around with headsets. Effecient for fast food restaurants like McDonald's, not suitable for an Irish pub. Wouldn't recommended it.
Really enjoyed our meal tonight. Food was really good, beer was excellent and service was just superb .Only two staff on but wow were they impressive . Unflustered and professional. Got to say they were exceptional. I hope the management realise how lucky they are to have these two . Will definitely be back again
