We went here a couple of days ago, our Waiter Giuseppe was outstanding with us and other customers around, he made the experience memorable for everyone! Polite, funny and attentive to our needs. The food was amazing, fresh, tender and full of flavour! We sat outside and it was warm, not too hot, no bugs, pleasant, didn't even notice any road noise! Everything was perfect and it was busy Inc a huge Hen do inside. All in all I'd have to give this restaurant a 10/10 and will definitely be returning. We spent around £350 for 7 people, main meals, puddings and a whole lot of drinks/cocktails/coffees so I'd say good value! Thank you :
The overall experience today was good. The restaurant was clean and tidy. It has a free car park outside for customers. It is a little dark inside however on some tables and we had to ask to move to another table due to it being too dark which hurt our eyes a little. In terms of the service, the staff were polite but as evident from previous reviewers they appear to be from Albanian descent which we found that when asking questions to the host it was a simple yes or no answer. There was no engagement to establish a rapport as such and the team came across as rude sometimes. They also forgot our tap water and drinks order which we had to remind them. The menu had plenty of choice and a reasonable price given the table for both this and drinks. I had to ask the manager to honour the Gourmet Society discount that I was told on the phone they did accept but not when I visited. They did sort it however. They also accept Tastecard here. The best part of the visit was indeed the food quality. Large portion sizes and cooked very well with no issues at all today. The chicken was rich in flavour and very tender. The calamari was lightly battered and tasted and smelled great when it arrived. The chips were as you would expect; well salted and the right colour. We asked for sauces and found that the mayonnaise was out of date but this was rectified by the host. Overall I would consider visiting again and give it a 7/10. Lovely food let down by the service from the team.
Went here at the weekend for my niece's birthday. First time here and we couldn't have been more impressed. The team were amazing, so welcoming and funny, the food was delicious, we had a mix of dishes between the 8 of us and everyone really enjoyed what they had. Lovely little atmosphere, we sat outside in the sun and definitely didn't feel as though we were in Ilchester. Looking forward to going back
We was passing that town on the way home,and we was looking for places to have a dinner,and that restaurant come to our attention. We was not prepared to be welcome so nicely,specially if you wear shorts and flipflops, summer vibes . Staff was very helpful and friendly, they find the place for us in lovely garden patio, amazing plants and style. Food was amazing as well , kid's was very happy with the choices ,and they are very fussy eaters. Same as my wife . Shame we couldn't stay for the dessert, but they probably be amazing, next time, we definitely come back to that place. Thank you for having us, best regards from Family 4.
Went to Nuova for my daughters birthday meal and it was fabulous! Delicious, fresh food, wonderful service and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great, we especially enjoyed sitting in the outdoor seating area. Thank you, we will be back!Food: 5/5
Preface - I'm a chef by trade. Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience here. To start, I ordered the mozzarella with tomatoes and basil - it arrived covered in dried oregano. I can't believe that an Italian chef would do this, Tastes like you are eating sand. And the tomatoes were like the cheap salad tomatoes you get from the supermarket. Get back to basics with better quality ingredients, it's a simple dish. I ordered the calzone for main. The dough was nice, but it had way too much tomato sauce inside it. And they also put tomato sauce and mozzarella on top of the calzone. This is not necessary- traditionally it is not served like this. Unfortunately the wine glasses were not clean at all, I only noticed because my friend lifted his glass high up against the light and you could see clearly it was dirty and not just a little. Good points: The service was really great and the food was served very quickly. The chocolate fondant dessert with pistachio ice cream was very nice.
My first time eating here and it was amazing, the fiid was high quality and cooked well. The staff team really makes sure you are happy and everything is to your liking. Parking on site was useful but maybe could hold 6 cars so during peak time it might be full. Highly recommended
Quite disappointing really, the venue was freezing cold like sitting in a skittle alley which meant you're food went cold quickly and we had to keep our coats on whilst we ate. Pretty sure my food was frozen and then re-heated on order, I had lasagna, it was mushy and completely tasteless apart from an over kill of salt that had be added to it. Italian is usually my favorite food and have there for eaten at many different restaurants, unfortunately this was probably the worst I've tried giving it a 3 out of 10. Staff were lovely but prices were more expensive in the restaurant than advertised online. With the whole experience being pretty poor I don't think we're be returning. ‍
Absolutely delicious food, generous portion sizes and friendly staff. The only note I would make is it was quite noisy so probably don’t go if you want a quiet meal but we didn’t mind the noise level. Wish we lived closer so we could come again
They offer an awesome range of pizzas, I liked dining here. Staff members are always friendly, really good prices and the spot is always kept clean,
