Very price worthy. Clean rooms. Comfy beds. We had a room with 4 beds. The ceiling in our room was impressively high. Yes, the rooms are small but we knew it before hand. Walls are thin in the hotel, so you can easily hear the other guests but everybody was quiet. So we were not bothered. The location is great, Just by Hyde park and close to the subway station. Also, there's a very nice joint that serves breakfast just around the corner, Diana café. The hotel staff is very friendly. We had a blast and would happily come back.
I think for the price this was a brilliant place to stay. Yes there was a few minor cosmetic issues Mould spots and imperfect DIY work however I stayed in a family room for 2 nights at £170.00 , the receptionist was a a friendly gentleman who informed us we had 24 hour access. we were also allowed to pick which room we stayed in , breakfast included, Wi-Fi, smart tv so we could log into our netflix or amazon at the end of the day house keeping, very good shower, extra pillows and blankets, a good size fridge plus a kettle tea and coffee etc included and hair dryer. We didn't hear any noise apart from the staff in the morning, which we would have been getting up at 7 anyway to start our day ! I would go back here again, especially as it was close to Hyde Park and 2 tube stations. I didn't feel unsafe when we went out to the shops in the evening either. Nearby activities: Hyde Park, Princess Diana memorial plus Queen Victoria memorial. Two underground's. Pharmacy, waitrose, McDonald's and bars and cafes are all a 2 minute walk
Dubious at best. Location, and kind staff would probably be the only true positives we have. We were on the top floor, with no lift, and the staircase from hell - which hindered my will to live, at points. There is also an unpleasant smell that permeates every inch of the hotel room, and seeps into the corridors. I would not recommend. But in the end, it is a place to rest your head at night.
Avoid this hotel if you don't want to get ripped off. I booked a room for a night which was cancelled not by me Now I cannot get a refund from the hotel who tell me they don't know who cancelled the room! Unbelievable! They told me it was a non-refundable booking - even though I did not cancel the booking. Terrible terrible terrible customer service to the point of very rude. So keep your money safe and do not use this outfit. It will end badly. You have been warned.
Stayed here three weeks, three of them, three, three weeks. Everything was fantastic: great staff, comfortable room, and you cannot beat the location. The room cost/location ratio alone gets this hotel 5 stars from me; I'd give it 6 if I were permitted. Not exactly sure what people want, but if you need ultramoisturizing body wash and drip coffee and cloudlike slippers and bathrobes, *you're in the middle of London, England, those things are within walking distance in a very safe neighborhood*.
Room was laughably small but clean enough for a night. Housekeepers were rude but staff behind the front desk were professional. A few minutes walk from Hyde Park and central London.Rooms: 3/5
Very tidy and we'll presented budget hotel in Notting Hill Gate that offered me a triple bedded en suite room for only 48GBP on a Monday night when I missed the last train home from Victoria Station to Ockley Station and Uber from Horley Station would have cost at least 28GBP if I could even find one to take me home. Only strange thing about the room was no duvet or blanket and only a thin cotton top sheet but as the rooms were so warm for December that didn't actually matter.
Let's start with the positive. The concierge who greeted me upon check-in was very nice and provided a warm welcome. It was a pleasant way to start my stay, and I appreciated the friendly demeanor. However, there were several aspects of the hotel that left much to be desired. Firstly, I found the hotel's policy of not allowing guests to take the key card out of the premises to be quite unusual. It was inconvenient to have to hand over the key card every time I left the hotel, and it felt like an unnecessary restriction. The room I was assigned, room 26, was a small single room that felt incredibly cramped, almost resembling a prison cell. The size was truly disappointing and made it challenging to move around comfortably. Additionally, I noticed that the walls were marked, which gave the room a somewhat neglected appearance. Furthermore, the lack of cleanliness was evident in the room. The shelves were dusty, which made me question the overall cleanliness and attention to detail in maintaining the accommodations. Additionally, the hot water in the bathroom sink did not work, which was an inconvenience for basic hygiene needs. The layout of the bathroom was also quite problematic. I had to literally climb over the toilet to access the shower, which was an awkward and uncomfortable experience. This design flaw should be addressed to ensure guest convenience and safety. Unfortunately, the lack of soundproofing in the hotel was a significant issue. Being located at the top of the first stairs, I could hear late-night check-ins from the reception area, and even the sound of people breathing outside my door. This lack of sound insulation made it difficult to have a peaceful and restful night's sleep. Despite these shortcomings, I must acknowledge that the hotel's location was conveniently situated and free from excessive external noise. The area seemed relatively safe, which was a positive aspect of my stay. I regret to say that I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience. While it served its purpose for a one-night stay, the small and poorly maintained room, lack of cleanliness, & soundproofing issues overshadowed any positive aspects.
Staff are not very helpful I’m highly disappointed at customer service/lack of it. Won’t be booking here again, have learnt my lesson and I hope others see the light before they have to learn the hard way. Told me the next time I book they would help me, how laughable, you won’t receive another penny from me chum.Rooms: 1/5
Small but decent room, no breakfast available. Very good for using the tube, and going around in Notting Hill. Shops and restaurants close.Rooms: 4/5
