Booked for the night and we were not not disappointed. I absolutely loved the feeling as I walked in. The staff were amazing and welcoming. We had our breakfast in our room. We're coming back for longer next time to appreciate this breathtaking building
Recently here for an Afternoon Tea for a birthday. Room was great, set up nicely and allowed time to put up our own decorations. Staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. Only down side was the food. Savoury selection were only sandwiches, a pastry would’ve been nice. The scones were rock hard and crumbly served with an unidentifiable jam and cream which didn’t seem to be fresh or clotted cream, it was a strange texture. The other dessert selection were topped with what tasted and looked like aerosol cream. It was worth £25 a head for the food but everything else was great. Only other downside was the disabled toilet wasn’t the easiest for our elderly members of the party to get to.
Wonderful! Whilst some hotels ' idea of being dog friendly is to take your extra money and put you in a scruffy broom cupboard, Norwood Hall really IS dog friendly. A lovely receptionist showed us to our room and then to the door closest to our car to make taking in luggage and dogs really easy. The hounds got a welcome pack and there was plenty of space in the splendid room for 2 big dog beds. Warm, spacious and spotlessly clean with a large comfortable bed our room was ideal with a great view of the grounds which are custom made to exercise the beasts. All the staff were very friendly and efficient and the best vegan breakfast I've had in a very long time just added to a very enjoyable experience . Thanks to all.
I attended an event on the 31st of October and was really impressed with the beautiful location. The staff even mentioned that their afternoon tea was amazing.nnI called a few days later to make a booking for a group of eight but the phone just rang. I tried again the next day, left a voicemail along with my phone number, and waited. Today is the 20th of November — more than 15 days later — and I still haven’t had any response.nnUnfortunately, this experience has been very disappointing, and I won’t be returning.
I just spent the past four nights at the Norwood, and it was wonderful. Beautiful old building with intricate detail work all over. Very old feeling, without feeling run-down. Staff were helpful and courteous, food was delicious, room was clean and well kept, water pressure and temperature great. I will stay here again I’m sure. Maybe when it’s not snowing so I can explore the grounds a bit.
