Norwich railway station is a convenient and pleasant hub for travelers. The station hosts several amenities including a Co-op, a WHSmith, and a Costa Coffee. However, these shops typically do not operate during the very early morning or late evening hours, which may be inconvenient for passengers traveling at those times.nnPreviously, there was also an M&S Food store at the station, but it has closed and shows no signs of reopening.nnThe station's design reflects the architectural style of the mid-19th century with its ornate facade.nnOver the years, the station has undergone some renovations to modernise its facilities while preserving its historical charm. Due to the number of empty retail units, it just feels a little tired.
Just dropped off daughter, toddler and small dog in large pushchair. With non visual disability daughter booked Passenger Assist. I must its been smooth getting to Disabled carriage. They settled, I left waving goodbye. Walking back seeing passenger assistance, engaging, leading some passenger to carriage and those elders in station buggies. I'm so impressed with the special attention. Ace customer service. I have full admiration of Norwich Train staff. Thank you!
Situated very close to the city, A pleasant station, A terminus, with a Co op and a Costa and a Subway on site. Trains take you to Stansted Airport, London Liverpool Street,nEast of England and Liverpool Lime Street.nModern, bright and has buses just outsidenThe main entrance. And a large car park.
A pretty little station with connections to london and further around Norfolk. Has shops that stay open fairly late and open early, so it can be a good place to get a little shopping and it has free toilets! Which is always a blessing. Ample waiting areas too.
We arrived by train to visit the Cathedral. Not knowing the area we walked straight up Prince of Wales Road, directly opposite the station. We didn't know about the River Walk until our return. It was a very depraved area, with large groups of drunken men and a strong smell of drugs. Not the most pleasant first impression. We visited the cathedral which was wonderful, and followed the river walk back to the station. A bit weird that you have to go through The Complete Angler pub to get back onto the road.
