It was one of the most beautiful cathedrals I've ever been. So elegant, vast, great architecture. Wonderful place to visit. The entrance is free, but there is no parking. Just make sure to read parking signs properly, because I couldn't properly. So I had to pay the fine of 25 pounds. They welcome donations.
Fantastic place to visit. Beautiful architecture inside aswell as out. Was pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommend a visit. Will come again for sure.nNote...this was used as a filming location for Harry Potter!
Well, it's worth a visit. The entry is free, but a donation is requested, although there is no obligation at all. You are welcomed to the cathedral and given leaflet to make tour visit informative. The cathedral is well looked after, and the dedication in this is admirable. Fresh flowers are presented all around the internal of the cathedral. It's probably one of the largest cathedrals I've ever been in. Everything we thought we reached the end, there was more and it went on. Dogs are allowed in the cathedral, which really surprised me. What a lovely way to spend the day with your fury friend. There is a lovely courtyard where you can lay a picnic mat and enjoy the serounding. Very peaceful. Sony different entry and exit points to the cathedralnThere is a shop at the entry point. Also a cafe is available with toilet facilities. Stunning monument I'm and out, It's definitely worth a visit. We spent a comfortable 1.5 hours here. Allow more if you just want to sit in the cathedral or chill in the courtyard. There is no road parking during the week. We parked in a car park and walked to the cathedral.
Sadly we missed the free guided tour, but I would strongly recommend doing it. There is so much to learn about this incredible place. It is free to go thru the Cathedral but they do suggest a donation at the end of your visit. We spent money in the cafe and bought gifts in the shop.nIt is over 900 years old. Has had some major works done to restore and enhance people's visits like the incredible cafe, toilets and entrance.
It's been a long time since my last visit here. This time I did the tourist bit with a friend whilst back in Norfolk.nThere's no charge for entry, but donations are welcome. There's a gift shop and cafe. If like me you have a Pilgrims Passport don't forget to collect your stamp!!!nThe Cathedral is set in beautiful grounds and within Historic NorwichnThe artifacts on view were fascinating and the age of some items was mind blowing. The stained glass was absolutely spectacular. Tucked out back via a small side door is the resting place of Edith Cavell.nThe stunning and intricate architecture will leave you in no doubt of the skills required to have built this Cathedral and you'll question how this was possible without the equipment we so readily rely on now. Lots of stunning details to explore.nWhilst outside do not forget to look up you might be lucky enough to see the resident Peregrine Falcons.
