Well, what a complete difference. I have always loved this place and haven’t been for about five years. The changes are immense, really well thought out and executed. Loved the whole experience. Love the displayed items. Love the little interactive sections. More excavation going on to the rear very exciting. The walled gardens were beautiful, so fragrant and pretty. The volunteers were lovely and friendly. Keith was a star and explained a number of fruit trees. Herb garden is growing great. Produce grown is for sale. Freshly picked too. Definitely worth a little stroll around. Little cafe to have a coffee or cold drink, indoors or outside. Blue light discount applied when buying ticket buy one get one free Happy days Will definitely go back soon
What a gorgeous place! The ruins are absolutely fascinating and the exhibitions enrich the experience with a lot of information and history. The grounds are stunning, plenty of hidden gems to look for in the woods and the gardens are immaculate and beautiful so colourful. The cafe has some lovely food and the staff are nice. I will definitely be coming back because we've had such a nice time there.
Our first visit, we were very impressed. It was raining but we thoroughly enjoyed walking round the ruins, the walled garden and the woodland, and will definitely return on a sunny day. The indoor exhibitions are excellent.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Overall a great afternoon spent here. Great exercise in beautiful surroundings, the guided walk was entertaining, educational and humorous for both Adults and Children. Gardens were lovely, wide selection of plants, shrubs and fruits suitable to be grown in the UK, well worth the 400M walk to visit. When the vast array of roses bloom, the garden will be beautiful. Two exhibition rooms showed the history of the sites buildings and the people who lived/owned the eastate. Cafe was reasonably priced and the food and service were very good. I definitely will visit again.
The site itself is stunning! It's a massive green area, with a peaceful and relaxing space for walking, play area for kids, a museum with the rich history of the site and the family that lived there for generations and a café with a delicious cake. We spent 4 hours there, visiting the area around the museum and the Garden +-400m crossing the bridge that, because of the time of the year the flowers weren't in full blossom, so we'll definitely visit again in June. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and also Paul, the guy who opened the gates of the garden for us it's open at 12 and the lady that explained everything about the garden for us were really great! We paid £22 for 2 adults tickets, but they have different prices for kids and family tickets. I think they have some events during spring and summer that you can check on their website. Also, someone was having a marriage ceremony there, so I believe you can hire the place too. There's a parking lot in front of the building and accessible facilities.
A gem of a place. Visited as a wedding guest and stayed for the sights. Rich in history, archaeology and modern day glamour this venue is a fabulous place to visit if you're in the area or are planning to visit the area. I still can't believe a wedding brought me here. Wonderful wonderful place!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Had a lovely day here. Staff were so helpful and very informative. The museum was interesting and well done. The grounds and the walks with walled garden were lovely and autumnal and thoughtfully done. We enjoyed a lovely lunch in the little cafe . We had booked a wheelchair which was a real help to our visit and a much appreciated addition. We also got to see the Moon on display.
Very informative museum and great walled garden. We went in an event day, there were birds of prey, story telling, and various stalls selling fruit, plants and wooden items.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Enjoyed the informative exhibitions in the visitor centre about the priory and the excavations. We took the short walk to the walled garden which is vast and impressive. What an interesting place.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We had our wedding reception here 30/7/2022 and it was absolutely wonderful; everyone kept telling us how incredible and memorable the venue was. In particular Rebecca, who is in charge of events, was amazing. She was such a massive help with everything, and we are so thankful for all the hard work she put into ensuring our wedding was the best day of our lives. We cannot recommend Norton Priory enough!!
