Northcott Mouth Car Park (National Trust)
"This small rocky beach opens up to expansive sand and rock pools as the tide drops.Northcott Mouth remains fairly unchanged since the nineteenth century becoming popular amongst visitors in the 1930s. The cliffs here showcase the dramatic Bude Foundation, made up of rocks formed over 300 million years ago.At low tide the rusting debris from the steamship ‘Belem’ may be seen in the sand at Menachurch Point to the north of the beach after running aground in 1917.There are coastal walks to enjoy with Maer Cliff and Down offering views of Lundy Island to the north on a clear day. The circular trail from Northcott to Crooklets and back is a popular route using the South West Coast Path. The cliffs have an array of wildlife to spot."

A National Trust carpark, free although you can donate whatever monies you want into a box. There are no facilities in the area, we walked the beach at low tide then took the coastal path to Bude for lunch and back again. A great walk of a mile or so and not too hilly!
Nice big car park only £2 all day Suggested donation. Easy access to Northcott Mouth Beach down hill to car park and costal path. Roads to the location can be tight and difficult to pass but worth it. Stunning beach. From the sign: Northcott Mouth has a timeless feeling about it. Despite becoming popular with visitors in the 1930s, it has changed little since the days when farmers would come here to load up their carts with sand and seaweed to spread on their fields and 'sweeten' the acid soils. The cliffs here are a good example of the dramatic 'Bude Foundation', made up of rocks formed over 300 million years ago. Make the most of Northcott Mouth Go for a walk - Maer Cliff and Down offer walkers glimpses of Bronze Age barrows, or burial chambers, as well as views of Lundy Island to the north on a clear day. The circular trail from Northcott to Crooklets along the South West Coast Path, and back inland, is a popular route 2 miles, 1 hour. Spot the wreck - At low tide you might see the rusting debris from the steamship Belem in the sand off Menachurch Point, where she ran aground in 1917. Wartime remains - Look out for concrete anti-tank blocks on the beach and the pillbox built on the valley slope to keep an eye out for enemy ships, which date from the Second World War. Wildlife wonders - The cliffs are brimming with wildlife. See if you can identify six-spot burnet moths and meadow brown butterflies flitting amongst the lady's bedstraw, Yorkshire fog and thrift.
Lovely beach, nice walks to tea room about 2km away, but beautiful little tea room on site. Bit tight down the lanes to get there
Basic country car park. Rough stones and puddles. Perfect!
Beautiful beach, our 18 month old loved getting his feet wet! The walk to and from the carpark is easy. The cafe in the garden was nice too!!
Lovely rugged coastline. Cafe and toilets closed in winter though. Parking charges apply.
National trust car park, overlooking Northcott Bay. There is an honesty box with suggested donations. Unmade surface and lots of space but there is a fairly steep walk down the the beach.
Great walk think we did about ten miles in the end along the coastline stopping for food and drink. Also stopping for lovers be ch for a quick picture. Lovely weather as today is snowing and can't get out the lane!
Great spot to visit, although not ideal for people with access problems as very steep hill to and from beach.
My fav beach so easy to get too and best sunsets life guards are so kind just be careful for riptides x
