Well maintained and clean station.nFriendly staff and nice facilities.nLocated at the prime location in Northampton.nThere's parking facility behind the station. Recently I have read that there are plans to expand car-park to accommodate more cars.
I go to London frequently sightseeing and going to concerts, mainly with my daughter. Also travel to Wales, Birmingham and Wolverhampton.nEvery trip I have made has been a pleasure, with lovely facilities. Great cafe, toilets are always clean and friendly staff. Always been able to get the help I need when enquiring.nI would say there needs to be more disabled bays, plus annoying when people are doing pickups and sit in the disabled spaces.nI’ve parked for a very long time free of charge in the disabled bay, but a couple of weeks ago I parked there and ended up with a parking fine.nAfter calling Saba they said it’s not free anymore and should read the signs, there were no signs in the disabled bays saying about these changes. Think there should have been a sign up showing advice.
Horrendous experience. Caught train from London to Rugby, at Northampton we were told that the train is going no further due to an incident on the tracks. Apparently the exact same thing happened lastnight.nWe've had to get an Uber for the onward journey.nThe driver informs us that this is a regular occurrence at Northampton as he frequently picks up stranded passengers .nI'll NEVER use this service again and I would not recommend this service to anyone .nShocking blasé attitude to the plight of passengers. Coaches could have been provided
Modern railway station conveniently located for Northampton shopping and entertainment. I would expect more facilities for a station serving such a large town but nice to see an independent coffee house on the ground floor. Plenty of parking space. Be warned there is a very limited taxi service from the station taxi rank during morning rush hour so best to book a taxi in advance.
Northampton Station, still known to locals as Castle Station, is much improved compared to a few years ago. It is brighter, cleaner, and safer than it used to be, and there is a much bigger car park. The Magic Bean Emporium coffee shop has opened downstairs, and there is a WHSmith upstairs, and another coffee shop run by a company with a mermaid logo.
