Be careful if pre-paying to park here after 10AM and do NOT trust the car parking attendants - lesson learnt the hard way :nnI pre-paid for a parking slot to find no spaces upon my entry. Luckily, a parking warden was present and said that I could park in a non-bay as it was pragmatic and not blocking any other vehicles. Fast-forward 3 days after my long trip and I come back to find no tickets on my car, but the outline of adhesive. I think nothing of it and assume that all is okay given the scenario.nnI am then alerted to multiple follow-up, increased fines sent to my previous address I just moved property. Of course, I had contested this with proof of payment and requested CCTV footage of both me speaking to the parking attendant, alongside someone removing the tickets. Request denied by the data protection officer and footage conveniently deleted after 28 days.nnLong story short, don't trust the employees as they seemingly love a bit of entrapment the original ticket was less than 10 mins after our initial conversation! and get your own video footage haha. Will be moving forward and reporting to the relevant authorities.
Great wee statin clean and tidy well sign posted. Only one toilet working though. Bit of a queue.staff friendly and helpful
You need the app to pay for your parking, which is no good for many mature people. Another not so well thought out way to discriminate against those who do not have a smart phone. Will not be using this car park unless travelling with someone who does have the app.
Very good - CCTV and reasonably priced all-day parking. You can pay via your phone, but it's not a commonly used app, so give yourself 5 mins to download the app and sort out your payment before heading to the platform. This long-stay car park is on the opposite side of the track from the short-stay, so again, make sure you're in the right one! The long-stay is on the Romanby side.
Tried to park at Northallerton station. No signage on road whatsoever, had to ask a local. Get there, and it is App only. I, like many others do not have a smart phone so I abandoned my trip to York and went to Thirsk instead. The City of York must be losing thousands of pounds every week because of this stupid arrangement. Next time I want to go to York I shall go by car.
