North Kesteven School is a High Performing Specialist Academy in North Hykeham, Lincoln. Rated good by Ofsted in March 2015.

Story

North Kesteven is a school like no other. We are exceptionally proud of the academy and our vibrant community of students, parents, staff and governors who work together to provide an engaging learning environment where our young people can flourish.

We encourage all our students to achieve excellence in all that they do. We provide real support for growth, development and ambition, facilitated by several very exciting innovations across the school.
These are designed to help students and families break the boundaries of what we ‘can do’ to make what we ‘aspire to do’ a reality.

We’re not afraid to be different. Our educational vision is to go above and beyond ‘ordinary’ and produce confident, well rounded individuals who excel both academically and personally due in part to our supportive staff, the wide range of subjects we have available, our good relationship with parents and our superb teaching methods

Our curriculum is tailored to meet the individual needs of the amazing young people we have here – we expect every student, regardless of their starting point, to achieve their full potential whilst they are with us, whatever that may be.

At North Kesteven, we offer our young people a range of academic pathways designed to develop the skills they need to fulfil their aspirations for the future. Everyone at NK shares a passion for individual enrichment and works together to prepare students for the road ahead, ensuring that they’re equipped for whichever path they choose when they leave us. As they progress, every student benefits from the close connections we’ve made with partners in both further and higher education and several commercial organisations.

A great example of this is our partnership with two University medical schools and the Medical School Council, enabling us to be the first school in the country to create and deliver a pathway to medicine programme. This programme gives our students unique access to course tutors, programme leads, practising Doctors and UKCAT teams.
We have also become Lincoln City Football Club’s education partner, delivering their post 16 qualifications and we are very proud to be their school of choice.
