This company rack-up the price of new boilers by a huge 40%!! I called them asking if they could come round to see the house and give a price for installing a new oil boiler that I was planing to buy. Was told they can only give the full 5 year warranty for a Grant Vortex boiler if they supply it as well. They did not really seem interested in installation only. (found out why after this). So I asked the price of the boiler- it was 40% (£850) more expensive than two other sources I found which , which included delivery!! I know of two other people in the neighborhood who have had the same shock when getting a Quote. I called Grant Boiler UK HQ- they confirmed that if I bought the boiler myself then had it installed by one of their web-site listed Engineers, the Warranty would be 2 years parts and labour (5 years for heat-exchanger), but that if I registered the boiler with them within 30 days I could extend the Warranty for all parts to 5 years, for ONLY £199. I "grumbled" to them about the size of the mark up; they acknowledged they were aware that some installers do hike boiler prices by far too much, but its nothing to do with them (fair enough) So £199 vs £850 mark up on the boiler is an easy decision for me! This size of mark-up is totally unreasonable. If that's the margins they try on equipment supply, I can imagine that their labor charges are at a premium also. And this is substantiated in the quotes that the two other folks I know have had from NEBS. I suggest you consider looking elsewhere.

Very quick response to a message I left. Booked us in within a couple of days( it wasn’t a desperate Repair time requested) Michael arrived, identified the cause of our misery within 5 mins( unlike 2 previous boiler repair companies that ‘fixed’ problem and ran. Neither returned when problem resurfaced within 5 mins of them leaving) replaced the part. Showed us the old worn part, invoiced us, cleaned up, waited to check it al kept working and left us with hot water and hot radiators. Fantastic , effective and affordable. Result. Highly recommend . Go to these guys first, no point wasting money going somewhere else.

Working boiler not working when these guys finished with it numerous parts changed still boiler wouldn't work had to get an engineer in to fix. Recommend looking harder for an alternative due to poor service, poor workmanship and poor after care.

I have just had a Boiler fitted by North East Boilers and from start to finish they were highly professional. When they say they are coming they do come, and at the time agreed. This is the first time in the Plumbing & Heating trade I have experienced this. The Boiler was installed exactly as I wanted it, They made very little noise and left the area very tidy you wouldn't know they had been. Everything was explained about using it, left a customer pack for me for reference and said they would be happy to hear from me anytime if there was anything I didn't understand. I would highly recommend them to anybody.
