For the last 5 months I've been trying to chase asthma pumps. I was without them and having an asthma attack night previously told to phone back tomorrow! This proceeded to happen god help you if you are elderly and not especially forward... Not being able to breathe is not an emergencyto them! When attempting to pick up prescription from chemist not there I've resorted to buying on line it result in having to almost attend hospital luckily I located tablet form steroids the one occasion. I've lost all faith in the medical establishment in the last two years its only good for experimental jabs.. advice for others my pharmacist in well asda advised me they can fax perscription instead of waiting in such emergencies.. didn't work for me but best of luck to you all
People phone the doctors because they are ill, worried or need advice. They do not need to get through to abrupt receptionists when they are already probably feeling quite fragile. Staff should be kinder, friendlier and speak with respect, otherwise they shouldn't work there. It's really awful. On a positive note, the doctors are great.
Worst surgery I've had the misfortune of using. I very seldom go to the doctors, I think I've been less than a handful of times in my adult life until recently when I've become ill with an undiagnosed illness. It's very difficult to get an appointment at this surgery. You're frequently asked to get a blood test and they say they'll contact you with results, and then instead you don't ever hear from them. When you chase it up you are then told you can get a phone appointment in a weeks time or you can try and go through the 8am rat race of trying to book an appointment in which you are frequently told they don't have any appointments and to try again tomorrow. It's ridiculous. Find another Dr's. This one is poorly run and they do not care.
Been to doctor surgery at 3.15pm on a friday, i asked for a repeat perscription as i didnt realise i had run out. Receptionist said i cant have it till Monday at 5pm, she informed me to put it in the post box and mark it urgent. I informed her that i had run out, i was told the earliest i could have it, is Monday, although the surgery was open till 6pm. So i will have to go all the weekend and Monday.without. The receptionist showed no empathy which was very disappointing. So if urgent you got to wait 4 days for a perscription how long do you have to wait for non urgent ? All i ask, please can they show some understanding and try to help people in need. I hope the doctor surgery will take my coments on board and try to solve this problem.
Absolute shambles phone at 8 am for on the day appointment was ringing for 50 minutes before I was cut off which has happened on numberous occasiona. receptionists are extremely rude and abrupt doesn't hurt to smile would highly recommend finding different doctors or just accepting illnesses
New'ish member of the surgery. I have to say, I have always been able to get an appointment in reasonable time, the doctors AND receptionists are exceptional and I respect the work they do in sometimes difficult situations. - No complaints here.
Doctors are all great, no exceptions, the nurses are all great and the receptionists do a great job too - not sure where the bad reviews come from?, I can never fault anyone there, if there is ever a problem it is quickly rectified but I must say it rarely happens. Excellent service all round
Jean Smith review - can't get appointment unless you are the lucky person to get through at 8am on the dot, some good Doctors, but, pot luck on which one you get to see, never get to see the same Dr twice. Waiting room makes you feel ill, as so dark drab and depressing. So the last place you want to go when you are feeling ill. Overall the GPS can prescribe pills or refer you into an endless triage system, that just goes round in circles, lots of appointments, no treatment. So pointless going.
Only been to the surgery once, and received excellent service by a doctor through these difficult times. Even when it comes to appointments by phone, they have been very helpful and helped me out with medicine quickly when needed. Only issue would be that, sometimes, due to Covid 19 when you need an appointment you are very limited, because they want to minimise face to face contact but hopefully that will change. I am optimistic
When you can see a doctor they are brilliant but it is a complete uphill struggle to get there! We were told that they don't make routine appointments any more and we had to ring at 8am. Rang and got through at 8.05 for them to say they are all gone!!! How is it even possible!! So now we are going to have to try the next day and so forth. The appointment was regarding a family members mental health problems and we said this!!! Honestly shocking
