Very very good! I love it, best museum in the northern Scotland! It has everything, pictish history bits, nuclear history bits, a lot of amazing things to see and touch. Highly recommended.

Informative staff who seem genuinely interested in their visitors, great displays.nFrom the Picts, standing stones and Dounreay. I loved the stones. A museum well worth a visit. It is free to go in but donations are requested and we were only too happy to contribute
Absolutely brilliant experience. Thank you, An, Chris, and ALL colleagues - on the door, in the cafe, at the shop. It was an amazing visit for me.nnYou were all so massively helpful to me and my other half when we visited in late May.nnChris, thank you for the chat in a shared language - it enchanted me, and made me feel more connected with my roots. Also, to come across two customers taking tea in the cafe, who filled me in on details surrounding a relative who used to work a certain shop in the 70s and 80s was an unexpected and very welcome bonus. The lovely kitchen staff helped in this regard also.nnThe Pictish stuff was simply stunning for me, too. The space, layout, features and resources were all absolutely brilliant.nnI thank ALL of you.nnYou are a credit to the organisation that you work for.nnI am hugely grateful, and wish you all well.
A very interesting museum. Staff are friendly and helpful. Dounrey control room is fascinating, local exhibits are good and Pictish stone room is great. Don't miss the cafe or shop, both are very good.
