A really excellent 5 night stay. Good service, good food and very comfortable. We skipped the dot coms and booked direct. The region has enough day-trips with a car to keep everyone happy. We'll be back for this real off-season ,late March bargain. Thanks Rooms: Clean and comfortable
Really very good value for money. The rooms are rather basic but do the job. Good lighting but disappointed by the lack of sockets by the bed. The shower was OK and, unusually, the towels were very large and very soft. Good restaurant with a varied menu and friendly service. Food quality was decent although not memorable: filling but not spectacular. The breakfast arrangements feel rather industrial, like a canteen. This was the only disappointment here. There’s no EV charging but there is a public car park opposite with two chargers. Note that there is a 45 minute limit on the DC chargers.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Norseman, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed was warm and comfortable. I had two evening meals in the hotel and the food was delicious and a good helping. Every member of staff were helpful, pleasant and seemed to feel it a pleasure to be of service. I for one will not hesitate in booking a room with this hotel the next time I am in Wick
Lunch with a friend this week. Looked after very well by our lady server, excellent service, friendly whilst professional. I had a very nice quiche lorraine with salad and, most definitely, handcut chips, which was very nice. My friend had macaroni cheese with side salad and chips which she also said was very good. We were persuaded didn't take much! to have a dessert. I had gingerbread cheesecake and friend had lemon meringue pie - both excellent. Will certainly come here again when I'm visiting.
Great hotel. The staff make the difference, they are friendly and helpful. The food is good, and the beer is on point. A very peaceful location and only minutes away from the town centre. There is a very large car park just opposite the hotel as well as a car park owned by the hotel. Rooms: Dated but clean.
Good hotel to stay in Caithness towm near Wick. According to the level of the city/town, the hotel is up to the mark and you can enjoy your stay. The town is however quite and everything close early, especially these days when summer tourists are not there yet. Halal food options are also available in town but not that good. Good food is available in Thurso though but it's not that close that you can just go for food. Lol
Went for the Sunday carvery Rang to check it was okay to bring the dog and was told we could eat in the lounge- perfect for us! The carvery was fantastic, so much choice not only the main carvery but also an amazing array of pudding!! Friendly polite staff and also great value What’s not to like? We booked again for an evening meal!
Focus North Conference Coffee, teas and goodies all excellent. Buffet lunch well presented.Service: 5/5
Rooms a bit tired and very hot, room at carpark level so not able to leave window open. Shower weak and warm, but did the job. Meals are okRooms: 4/5
We had a Sunday carvery which was delicious. There was a brilliant choice of meats and veg and a buffet dessert which was nice. Handy that it was dog friendly although we did have to eat in the lounge area on a sofa with a very low table which was not the easiest or most comfortable way to eat!Rooms: 3/5
