Lodge was very spacious, clean and well presented. We were 2 friends and we thought we had a twin and a double room, this is what it said on the description, which wasn't the case we had bunkbeds which made one of the bedrooms quite cramped. The check in was at 5 and this was on the dot not a minute before, which seemed silly as then there was a large group of people wanting to check in, a more staggered system would work better, as you have to be out of the lodge at 9am, this makes it quite expensive for the 5 days or should I say 3 and a half days you are there. The hot tub was perfect and the site is situated for easy access to the coast or broads which we visited, would highly recommend Wells - next-the - sea the beach is amazing. We hired a boat on the broads for a few hours a beautiful part of Norfolk. All in all the holiday was a nice break away.
Very nice lodges been for a few years but is now a rip off and pants down but pool is nice although haven’t used the restaurant near it
Just ok. This site it mainly full of people who own the cabins so catering for the passing holiday makers is not great. It was rather warm whilst we were there so air conditioning would have been a big help. The hot tub wasn't working properly, light bulbs didn't work. The kitchen contents were VERY basic, extremely limited pans glad we took our own hotplate. We tried to ring reception a few times but there was never anyone there, in fact the only time we spoke to anyone was when we wanted to reserve a slot by the pool.....we rang reception but she said she was eating lunch and didn't have the number for the pool attendant, I mean.....what company doesn't have the numbers of ALL their staff, bizarre. She suggested we walk down to the pool and look for ourselves...wow....we couldn't do this as we were out and wanted to reserve a slot for us to come home to. She was literally a couple of hundred yards away from the pool, so we were astounded that she didn't offer her help. Anyway, we didn't go. To be honest the place needs a bit of TLC too, the area around the hot tub wasn't safe, with damaged boards. The tap in the the ensuite was loose, which is a shame as the cabin itself was nicely laid out. Its just the little extras that were missing too, like dressing gowns for the hot tub, we have stayed in a few places, sometimes cheaper, and gowns have been provided to get in and out of the tub. This meant that the towels for the hot tub were the same as the towels used in the bathroom, not good. We got the feeling that as they were getting regular income from the owners, the holiday people were more of a hindrance than a welcome and not catered for properly. In view of this we had a great holiday, we were out everyday visiting the wonderful areas of Norfolk, so we will return but will unfortunately not be staying here.
The lodge we stayed in was beautiful. The biggest let down was the pool. We had to book in to use it, was only allowed to stay there for 45 minutes and last time I can actually book it is 3pm as it shuts at 4pm?!?! After a day out my 3 children want to go and play in the pool and were very disappointed to only be allowed in for 45 minutes. The other thing I am absolutely disgusted about is the poor poor fish in the outside pond at the Olive Garden. The water was completely green and could not see them at all. I will be reporting this to the RSPCA as I have fish in a pond at home myself!!!
6 of us spent the weekend there G2. Few things that needed fixing loose toilet seat apart from that the lodge was okay not brilliantly cleaned . Went to the olive tree for dinner first night we all had a good meal .went back sat night not so good then as the other on Father’s Day Sunday had the the same trouble as the other review, somebody does not know their beef from their pork.we ordered 5 beef 1 pork then the waitress came back and said we only had 4 beef left so I said I,d have pork.We asked for apple sauce and horseradish by the time it came up we had almost finished eating but what was left on our plates was cold.It was so disappointing after the first night. But we struggled to find anywhere else to eat locally that had good reviews. The younger ones in our group went to have a swim but the pool was cold.so it was the jacuzzi or nothing. We wanted a extra hour in the morning as we had a birthday the day of departing but we were told no.Shame really as could be a excellent place if it was run right.
Well situated and within easy reach of local amenities. Cromer 15 minute drive. Recommend The Bluebell Pub across the road from gate entrance. It had a cosy atmosphere and a local feel, but we were welcomed in by landlord and locals alike. There is a Pool and restaurant on site although both were closed. Our lodge was spacious and fully equipped for our needs. Private Hot tub and BBQ outside, main bedroom has ensuite shower room and toilet.
Don't bother, I would rate this 0 star's if I could. The cleanliness of the lodge itself was non-existent. While the staff are the lodge office were very apologetic and offered to move us to a new lodge, this still wouldn't be up to standard. Don't bother wasting your money, or time. It took us 5.5 hours to get here, and we returned home less than 24 hours later.
Terrible site.... so many vacant plots across the whole complex. No holiday feel mixture of chalet style lodges some really covered in damp etc & completely empty older style chalets. I booked with hoseasons what described this as a 5 star resort !!!!!you Seriously need to visit & reconsider your ratings The hot tub luxury lodge was not as described on your website quite old & wacky decor.African decor which wasn't in any description & expected a more country style luxury layout as described. There was Spider nests around the windows & the toilet area in the bathroom well you needed to be stick thin if was like a closet. We booked a 3nt stay & on the 1st night unable to sleep due to the main strip light would not switch off .TV did not work throughout our 3 nights stay very dissapointed indeed Reception staff couldn't care less & didn't have our lodge till after 5.30pm excuse after excuse!!All in all DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME & MONEY this is not a park that makes you feel welcome & on holiday Seriously needs updating to higher standards.
Fantastic stay at one of the deluxe spa lodges. Had a late check in and rang reception to let them know and they sorted it all out for us and emailed me details of which lodge we were staying in. Arriving at the lodge, it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed towels, toilet roll, dish cloths, tea towel, bin bags, utensils, pans, plates, mugs, cutlery etc there was no washing up liquid or soaps in bathrooms but did have dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher. Our lodge had a private hot tub which was on the decking, nice and clean and a man came to check it everyday. All of the staff we came across were polite and friendly. The park has an outdoor pool which you could book a time slot for but we didn't use it, although it looked clean and had sun lounges around it. The park is near to a sainsbury's, we walked it in 20 minutes to get some shopping. Mundesley is about a 25 min drive, Cromer is about a 15 min drive and Norwich is about a 35 min drive. Would definitely come back again, we had a really good time here. Very quiet in the day and evening, nice relaxing place. Had a lovely holiday to Norfolk
The holiday park itself looked nice but we only went to eat at the Olive Tree restaurant for Fathers Day. We had the option of beef or pork for Sunday lunch. 3 of us chose beef. What we were given was pork. The chef insisted it was beef. They brought some more out which was no better. The chef then came and confronted us and said it was beef, he could guarantee it. Well it's the palest most porky tasting beef I've ever had. No colour to it at all, pink or brown. 2 out of 3 of us who had it have also been chefs/cooks in the past and all agreed. No taste to the rest of the meal. Another person in our party had Katsu curry, he words were disgusting tasted like Mayflower curry powder by all accounts. Waitress was nice as she could be stuck between customer and chef. Definitely need to hire a chef who knows something about food or is willing to listen to his customers. Shame because it used to be a really tasty place to eat
