Room was clean but decor looking tatty. Staff were pleasant. There was a party in the function room that went on until the early hours and we could hear (and feel) the music despite being three floors away. Not ideal if you have a young family that need to sleep.

Awful experience. Room was disgusting, bathroom but was so small it was ridiculous. For a 'accessible' room, this was not good enough. Windows didn't stay open either. Very strongly smelt of curry. Rude reception too who didn't seem interested even when i explained my partners powerchair wouldnt fit through the rooms doorway. Wouldn't even allow a pet to stay here. Also very worried why there was a random locked door in the room with the keyhole filled with toilet tissue. The hallways smelt of paint with an abandoned trolley just outside the lift. I'd never come back.

If I could put no stars I would! What a shambles of a hotel! On arrival to the Norfolk Inn reception I approached the desk to find two people clicking away on their computers, not one of them acknowledged I was standing there and eventually when one of them did, she was looking to the person next to her to say something to me, nothing was said for a good while. The man at the desk finally said I will be with you in a minute while the other lady who was clearly doing nothing just sat there. In my opinion if you are sitting at the reception desk you are obviously able to check people in and let them carry on their way. After a further wait the man finally saw to me, I was not advised when the booking was placed that I would have to pay upfront for the room - I can see why you take payment up front as nobody in their right mind would pay after staying a night in your establishment. That aside, payment was made - I asked the man for a second key as I was sharing with a colleague, there is a possibility we would be in the room at different times, his response was 'No, and you can not have visitors". I didn't once state that I would be having visitors as the room was only for two. Once I made my way up to the room (room 190), the approach to the unlit corridor was very daunting, as a young woman I was scared to walk down the corridor to try and find my room. On entering the room the first thing I noticed was the curtain hanging at the window. I'm sure the hotel can afford proper curtain hooks! The bathroom window was left wide open so felt like I was in the Antarctic, the heating in the bedrooms was on full blast so felt hotter than a sauna! The shower was on a stepped level that when switched on soaked the floor and became a slipping hazard! I'm not sure who is running this hotel and how you've survived for so long but something has got to be done. I have since emailed the hotel and had no response, what a surprise! Do not book this hotel!!!

For what it is it’s dire, window won’t close in bedroom, shower has seen better days, had to tune tv in most channels don’t work, grotty mugs for coffee/tea only saving grace is we didn’t pay full price for room and won’t be staying all night due to having to drive back for work. Reception area looks great so was disappointed when we got to our room, also not many parking spaces, at best 20, luckily we got the last one.
