We did a takeaway, placed our order on the phone and they said it would be ready to collect in 10-15 mins. And when we went to collect it was ready. The food was hot and tasty. I had the crispy beef noodles and the duck and pancakes. Best Asian food in Portsmouth by far, and affordable too. The staff is very friendly.
A big party of us came here last night and was very impressed with the service. The food was delicious and plenty of choice for people on different diets. Haven't been here before but would be more than happy to go again. Cant fault the restaurant.Food: 5/5
Love it! Wouldn't go anywhere else for Chinese food in Southsea. We have been ordering from here for so many years now. An exceptional menu, with gluten free alternatives. Exceptionally fresh produce, you can taste everything. The Restaurant Manager always goes over and above to please. Nothing is too much trouble, Highly recommend "Singapore noodles", the sharing starter for a dinner party, the spring rolls, Prawn in ginger. Duck in black bean. Special rice. The list is endless! If ever a discrepancy, it's minor & rectified immediately. All the staff are well trained & smartly presented. This credit is due to the Manager & The owner. I highly recommend you try The Noble House. Eat in or take away. You can take your own alcohol as it doesn't sell alcoholic drinks. Enjoy! . Vegetarian options: Excellent menu.
A pleasant and friendly restaurant that goes the extra mile to make your dining experience a positive one. As a type-2 diabetic, I had no problems with my meal.Food: 5/5
I went in this place with my fiance . We experienced best servicing and good quality and quantity of food. The food was so delicious. We had a lovely time there. Food: 5/5
The mixed vegetarian appetiser had one mushroom in batter, and one tiny cigarillo-shaped spring roll with unidentifiable vegetables inside. The other constituents were a piece of tofu rolled in cornflour a saté of mock meat a wonton with something brown inside and too sweet, not very crispy, seaweed. I chose: beef with peppers in black bean sauce as in every Chinese restaurant I have been to this dish is not chilli-hot. I couldn’t eat the sauce as there was so much chilli in it and I left the beef as I could not find one slice which was not fatty and flabby. My crispy noodles with bean sprouts were not crispy but boiled. The meal was inedible, so we left. My sister had the king prawn Szechuan which had no flavour, only chilli. The staff were kind, if somewhat disorganised and took the price of the starter off the bill. The tables are too close together, so we had to endure the unedifying conversation of the 4 people at the table across the aisle from us. Although it wasn’t an issue for us, the restaurant does not serve alcohol despite its website saying it does.
Service is good but the food was a bit disappointed. The hot and sour soup is ok. It is 'Szechuan Style' which is different from the 'Shanghai Style' I used to had. I like the 'Shanghai Style' more. For the bamboo shoot and mushroom duck, the Noble House fry rice and the vegetable hot pot, I could not tell which is which if I blind taste the vegetable of these dishes. For dessert, we had Toffee Apple. It is ok but not impressive.
WARNING TO VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS!!! My vegetarian mandarin noodles contained prawns and other unidentified meat. I only noticed this after eating a few mouthfuls. As a vegetarian of 25 years, this put me off my entire meal as I no longer felt confident that any of the dishes were suitable for vegetarians. I called the restaurant who offered to send me a replacement noodle dish but when I requested a full refund and suggested they come and collect the order, I was told I had to request this through just eat. Just eat have refused to refund the order, saying that only 1 dish is the issue. How can a restaurant which prides itself in having an extensive vegan menu get it so wrong?? Unacceptable. Vegetarian options: Do not eat here if you are vegetarian or vegan. My vegetarian mandarin noodles contained prawns and meat.
We had a lovely meal on Saturday evening… the staff were so friendly and really cared about looking after us!Food: 5/5
So this place was a very nice surprise considering me and the Mrs only went for a walk along the beach. So I’ll rewind it was a cold and very windy Wednesday evening and the Mrs was all like “I’m bored let’s go for a walk along the seafront” me looking out the window thinking she’s bloody crazy it’s gale force winds ok a bit of an exaggeration it was a bit windy but as like most husbands I dare say no and after about an hour or so wanted something to eat so went here and wow it was great and busy the atmosphere was nice very relaxed and friendly the staff were very friendly and informative and the food was spot on all fresh and tasty they even had a vegan section with mock chicken you will have to take your own alcoholic drinks as they only do non alcoholic beverages but not a negative I’d say if you want a nice relaxing Chinese meal then definitely come to the Noble House.
