Such a hidden gym near Rutland Water. We had my wifey’s birthday meal here. The food and service we had were amazing. They offer proper Mediterranean dishes. We will be coming back for sure.
What a lovely place!!! I had Sunday Roast for the first time. Could not have picked a better restaurant to inaugurate it. It was extremely busy when we visited the place and the service was a bit slow, however, it was expected as it was happy hour, sunday roast and bank holiday all amalgamated. The staff were really polite and friendly. This wasn't the first time for the company I was with and they have always had an excellent time and were given exceptional service.nnAll I can say is the food was worth the wait!!! We ordered buch of starters as we were all starving. The honey chorizo was lip smacking and the peppers were perfectly charred and not heavy on the tongue nnThe star of the evening was definitely the roast. I opted for chicken. The veg to meat portion was perfect and the chicken was beautifully cooked. My partner makes the best yorkshire pudding according to me, but here it just tasted different, it was light and crispy and I believe there was an alternative flour used. Whatever it was, it tasted amazing. The portions are apt and the gravy was just the right amount to not overpower any natural flavours and it was easy on the price so it's a no brainer that our family has decided to make this a monthly thing.nnI will highly highly recommend trying roast dinner here, but, also do not shy away from their lovely set of offerings. Their pastas and paellas are delicious too!!! It's a must visit restaurant if you live in Leicestershire!!!
My family and I loved the £5 lunchtime pasta deal on Thursday! Even without a reservation, the staff found us a table during a busy rush and catered to our every need. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated too. Thank you
What a find…! Such a great meal at No 23. Decor is so tranquil and stylish. Glassware, crockery and cutlery all top class. Menu is varied and interesting. We shared two starters and a pasta dish from the lunch menu and they were all absolutely delicious !! Cray fish arancini, was to die for. The burrata was so creamy and tasty and the crab fettuccini had the most amazing bisque… Staff were really friendly and attentive. Everything came to the table in really good time and knocked our socks off with flavour. will be going back here!
We had been meaning to go to No 23 for a while but ended up being quite disappointed with our experience. Firstly, the menu had a lot of differences from the current one online, including the main I’d been looking forward to having. They also seemed to use a lot of the same ingredients in a lot of the dishes - in this case a lot of the dishes had chorizo in them rather unnecessarily. And if you wanted something veggie, like we did, the menu was quite limiting. We also found that some of the staff were fairly unfriendly. All that being said - it’s a beautifully done space and the starters and small plates we did have were, on the whole, good.
