Just threw my birthday party here. Had absolutely the best time. Kath and her team were really nice, all details of the party were discussed beforehand through the call and they really tried their best to accommodate us. Staff were super helpful and nice, we felt welcomed. Drinks are really nice as well, I liked the mocktail I got bc I don’t drink but my guests seem to like their alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere was absolutely the best, there are so many interesting pieces throughout the space, you can tell they really tried to create a unique space. Overall an awesome experience we had at the bar, will def come back w a smaller group and enjoy the front space a lil more. They also have a gallery space upstairs, make sure you ask if there is anything going on when you are there.
Lovely lovely place & one of my local favourites. Don't be intimidated by the sometimes unfriendly bouncers, that's the only downside. The place is quirky, decorated with and incredible eye for detail and lots of love by Kath, the darling owner of 98. Cocktails are great and come with fun decoration and trimmings try the hard shake to get your avocado fix with a twist - fruity & smooth. Have your choice of colourful all sorts in the front, outdoor greenery in the covered courtyard or mummified baroque in the small back room. If you're lucky the tiki bar in the back is open which proves of the creative genius that takes care of every detail of this place including custom towels for guests to sit on. The one thing I'd say needs updating one day is the sound system. Go here with friends, on dates, with big groups do call for reservations or to show off how great London is to one of your friend from out of town
Hidden, quiet cocktail bar with a nostalgic but slightly creepy vibe. Price is London prices £10 per cocktail + a small service charge but the drinks are presented quite nicely. I had the whiskey one which was presented in a small box with dry ice inside that escapes upon opening.
The bar is unique!! The bar is quite hidden place : Such a nice cocktails and music! I did love the vibe in here :
Great cosy, strange and attractive place! You'll see the decoration from 1000 different places, all great together. Great cocktail barmen, new menus frequently and cool waiters. Hidden spot in London, worth checking out for a chilled - or not - drink.
I absolutely LOVE Ninetyeight bar! I discovered it whilst having dinner with a client and we stumbled across the entrance it's a little old-school style staircase that leads into the bar - super cute! After having some drinks and speaking with the staff and owner, Kath the owner gave us an amazing tour of all the rooms in this bar, which is SUPER cool! There are so many amazing rooms here for different vibes and people and I'd absolutely love for more people to find this hidden gem in the Shoreditch area of London! Hope to bring more of my colleagues, friends and clients here in the future!
Drinks are unreal. Presentation is extraordinary!!! Prices are reasonable all drinks are roughly 10pound but their drinks are very impressive! I ordered a whiskey sour and it came in a suitcase and they opened the suitcase and it was filled with smoke and when it cleared .. My cocktail appeared! Very funky colourful place! Would certainly recommend!
Great choice of drinks. Very friendly staff. The decor is just a bit too mental. We love a quirky vibe, but this just like a bit of a mess and the lighting was quite flat throughout so it lacked a bit of atmosphere.
Great cocktail bar in the middle of shoreditch. Nicely and scary decorated makes it perfect for a Halloween party. Don't miss the mummy room! Cocktails were great, high standard and tasty and we'll presented. We'll be back!
Amazing cocktail bar had the best drinks defiantly try the smoked whisky would deffo recommend. great people work there too
