We ate Sunday lunch today. The food was absolutely delicious, my niece had the nut roast which was made there. She said it was so tasty. I had the roast beef - perfect. We arrived late for our table due to the sad fatality on the A27/M27 Junction. Roxana kindly accommodated us in the bar and looked after us superbly. Would highly recommend paying them a visit for a Sunday roast. Excellent value for money.
This place is amazing. Great value for money cash accepted which is handy. Brilliant breakfast and the hotel itself was very clean. Friendly staff so throughly recommend a stay here!Rooms: 5/5
Here for a birthday party. Function room was good for the occasion. About 40 on a Sunday afternoon. Buffet lunch was good and well thought out. Next time I am in the area I would visit again.
Second visit through Girl Guiding and both times the food has been amazing. Looking forward to more meals in the future.Rooms: 5/5
Went here for Sunday roast. Staff, hotel and food were amazing. I will be going back.Service: 5/5
It is a great location for visiting Hayling Island and the surrounding area. Breakfast was great. Service was attentive.Rooms: 4/5
We had afternoon tea, which exceeded our expectations. The lady that served us throughout was friendly and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea itself was outstanding, good choice of sandwiches, scones and cakes.....I will certainly be returning.
As a member of the Hayling Legends car club, I've visited the Newtown House Hotel every Wednesday evening in the summer and on the first Sunday morning of the month in winter. The drinks are well-priced and the food is always excellent and good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful and the Hotel has a nice feel to it.Service: 5/5
Absoloute gem, and a bargain. Flawless for location, price, cleanliness, friendliness, and comfort. The bar and courtyard area are stunning, as is the hotel. There's a load of free car parking to the rear. The building itself is quirky and quaint. The staff are accommodating. Rooms are more than comfortable, clean, airy, and turned down daily. Will definitely be back, and I will be my default hotel on Hayling going forward. Rooms: I stayed in a single room, which was light, airy, spotlessly clean, decent temperature and the bed was comfy with ample pillows and sheets. The shower was spot on, too... not one of those hotel shower roulettes that can either be tepid or flay your skin off. Nearby activities: Well... It's Hayling! The hotel is 10 mins stroll from Funland then on to West Point... across the road from the Barley Mow carvery, and round the corner from West Town/Shops... down the road just a couple of miles or so in one direction is the Portsmouth foot ferry and in the other is access to haylings South Beach and Eastoke seafront. Definitely recommend following the Hayling Billy Trail from Westown up to the tip of the island. Walkability: 10 mins Beach. 4 mins West Town, 20 mins Eastoke, 30 mins Mengham.
At £150 for a small twin room with basic facilities, no breakfast, this is overpriced. Staff are friendly and location is good. Unfortunately the night we stayed there was a wedding on and the noise was loud until late at night. Not their fault but I think they should have let us know and maybe not put us in a room next to the party.Rooms: 3/5
