Stayed here on Friday night. Had relatively low expectations as it was uni dorms but was actually quite impressed. Very clean rooms, easy to get to the station we were seeing a gig in Cardiff and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were very basic but again, were clean. I did miss when booking that parking is not on site so we did have to go to the shopping centre to park.nOne thing I would say is that there was no hand soap in the room nor glasses - these would have been very welcomed!
I stayed at Student Village Accommodation in Newport and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. The staff were quite rude and unfriendly, which really affected the stay. They’re extremely strict about check-in and check-out times with no flexibility or understanding.nnThe rooms were average—nothing special, but not terrible either. The only real positive is the location: it’s within walking distance to both the bus and train stations, which made getting around easier.nnOverall, the poor attitude of the staff and lack of hospitality made this a place I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
It’s a very convenient solution for accommodation. Very clean in the room and also the kitchen which is very big. Use the parking area of ASDA which is only 5 min walking. The staff was also friendly.nnIf you visit Cardiff, %100 recommend this place. Suitable for couples as well. No issue.
The room is massive. Nice communal kitchen. Very safe and secure. Asda not far away. Quite a walk to train station. Taxi about £6
I’ve lived in Newport Students’ Village for a year, and its location is one of its best features; just a short walk from shopping centres, the train station, and the city centre, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. It strikes the perfect balance between convenience and comfort, and the management and reception team are truly outstanding
