Since joining I’ve had a really good experience with the surgery. Yes they have long waiting times just like every other surgery. Yes they are under pressure..so is every surgery. However the admin team are lovely and helpful, the drs and nurses I’ve seen have been great, always try to get my daughter in when possible. When they have said they will get back to me they always do! I’ve spoken to them four days in a row over my daughter and they haven’t once got frustrated with me but been reassuring and helpful. The online system works great - yes they close it when needed - and the call back feature is brilliant. Overall a lovely surgery in very challenging times for the NHS. Thank you
In a nutshell, the phone waiting times are absurdly long, they keep you on the phone for hours if you just want to talk to someone to book a simple appointment. The phone menu system is overly convoluted, bombarding you with information you don't need, the actually important things are buried deep in the menu system.nnThe online booking system cuts you off if you do not try at the right moment, which is utterly useless, the whole point of online systems is that they are available 24/7.nnThe only good experience I ever had with this GP was the nurses who took good care of me, once.nnBut other than that, the whole admin staff is completely useless. You are always left alone with your problems. The waiting times for treatments is months, on average. I always have to fight for everything, even for getting results back or get a follow up for treatments.
I requested a call back due to increased lower back pain, that got to the point I just could not get comfortable no matter how I sat.nSurgery called me back the same day and I had the option of a call back the next day or escalate.nI chose the call back and contact was made on time and I felt like I mattered.nIona talked through my concerns asking all the right questions and relating to my concerns and overall was very understanding and just sounded like she cared.nI just wanted to acknowledge genuine and sincere service.nThe NHS is under pressure and although people may not have had as good an experience as me. I had a great experience and wanted to leave positive feedback where it is due.nGenuine and helpful advice for my concern.
Excellent service received by my husband yesterday.nSent a message via the APP,got a call back in less than a minute and offered a face to face appointment for later that morning.All on a Monday morning too.nWell done NPMC
I’ve normally had really good experiences with the receptionists here. There have been a few delays in having prescriptions and then a few bits of misinformation but that never bothered me at all. I’ve had good experiences with the Doctors apart from one which I’m not entirely sure what her name is. I spoke to her this morning without warning and she spoke over me and never let me finished my sentences. I feel like she never actually listened to me and was in such a rush to get the call over with. I am understanding that it would be busy but I’m trying to explain my symptoms and I felt completely disregarded. I’ve had on going issues now which they have just kind of left me to it without trying to help find out what the cause is. I felt like she didn’t take any of my medical history in to consideration which surely if new symptoms are in the same proximity that should be something that they should consider? I don’t know as I’m not a doctor but that was the most unhelpful call.
