Saturday Evening Review:nGreat food, great service and lovely atmosphere ... until 20.50!! If I was to write a review for the renovation and use of this space as a whole it would probably get 5 stars. However, on this occasion we need to acknowledge we were enjoying our evening until 20.50 thinking the market and food court was open until 10pm ... this is not even close to being the case. With food and drinks on our table chairs were put on surrounding tables and sweeping was taking place. By 21.15 it was shut down, one staff member stood over us while we finished our drinks and security was telling people to leave!nSo if you want a 'night out' to finish over an hour before their stated closing time then great; go to Newport Market and you will have gorgeous street food in a modern and well run establishment... just don't expect to stay and enjoy the experience past 9pm.
On a bustling Friday night at Newport Market, securing a table was easy, and the swift service, coupled with prompt table cleaning, contributed to a seamless dining experience.nnI ordered the Kashmiri Chilli Honey Combo at Masala Craft which proved to be a fantastic choice; the generous portion size and amazing chicken wings and onion bhajis left a lasting impression for days.nnThe cleanliness of the toilets, accessible with a customer code, reflected a commitment to hygiene and security.nnThe modern decor showcased the market's positive transformation from what it once was.nnOverall, offering great value for money in a vibrant atmosphere.nnWill 100% be back!
I bloody love it here. I've been a handful of times, but always forget to take pics. My husband and I went this weekend, we chose from Masala, Burger Boyz and Baubhaus. To say they were all delicious, would be an understatement!nnBurger Boyz is just as amazing here, as it is in PT. I LOVE IT.nnMasala Craft, we had their kimichi loaded fries spicy honey fried chicken etc, absolutely amazing. Literally so, so good.nnBaubhaus, tacos I'd wanted to try for months - these were so goooood, personally I'd have liked a little more taste to the actual beef but probably best I've had so far.nnWhoCult - don't miss them, the donuts are something else. Completely.nnPlenty of seats, prices are fine IMO - would really relish something like this in Swansea.
The good: Great concept and dog friendly. The bad: Most of the food stalls were no longer taking orders when we arrived around 815. Apparently last orders are at 830 but I only learned that by reading other reviews after the fact. Fortunately we were able to order from the Greek stall but it was disappointing to have so little choice even before this mysterious “closing time”.
Great place to grab a bite to eat. You can order from any of the places at the same time and its brought to your table. You need to log in to checkout, BUT the cart is reset when you do... so its probably best to login or create an account first
