I didn't visit for an equine event, I was attending an open day in a rented out function room in the main stand. The venue was gorgeous, the grounds absolutely pristine, almost too nice for horses to run around on. Great buildings, lovely atmosphere.
We bought the Century Stand tickets for the QIPCO 1000 Guineas race. Will call was simple and easy. Parking for premier was £10.nThe races were thrilling and swift. Recommend the experience.
We had a fantastic time. It's easy to get around and well signed. The disabled access is good, and the disabled facilities were all spotlessly clean. There are plenty of food and drink options. There is a lift to the upper floors for disabled guests to use.
Absolutely wonderful first time experience. Friendly and helpful staff on every occasion we met them; particular thanks to Lesley and Lyndsay, these guys completely made my day as special as it should have been for a first timer, describing the venue, taking time to show us around and explain things and making us feel thoroughly welcomed, and a bit like royalty! Had a fantastic fish platter in Frankels, served by the lovely Grace, and all staff again happy and welcoming.nStill here, not won yet, so very hopeful! Really enjoyed the clean, easy, well cared for surroundings, and great staff!nFabulous race day. So exciting, to be there.
Visited on 2000 guineas day. Huge crowd but never felt like it was crowded. Superb facilities. Something for everyone. Paddock was easily accessible and the lawn was picture postcard perfect. All in all, a superb advertisement for British horse racing at its best.
