I went on their Seven Cities of Italy trip, and it was incredible
This trip does require a reasonable level of fitness as there is lots of places being visited each day, but the tours were so well structured to minimise the amount of strenuous walking. A lot of the places visited were hilltop towns and cities (San Gimignano, Assisi etc) , the coach driver would drop us off at the top of the hill and meet us at the bottom.
The hotels were clean and welcoming, the staff warm and friendly - particularly the owner of Hotel Riva del Sole, who helped me after I had a nasty fall walking back to the hotel.
Lastly, our tour manager Bill is an absolute credit to Newmarket Holidays. His extensive knowledge of Italian history, the places we visited and his humorous anecdotes about his life living in Italy made the coach trips so much more interesting.

Probably the most disappointing holiday we have ever had. We went with Newmarket to Lake Garda this summer. It took forever to get to our hotel because of dropping off other people at hotels en route (a journey of just over an hour took 3 hours). This was repeated for every excursion, so we spent too much time on the coach and not enough time at the destination. It was very badly organised. We were dismayed by our room - supposedly in a 4 star hotel. It was tiny and gloomy with not even a window (we had paid a supplement of £150 for a lake view!). It would take too long to list all our complaints here but when I wrote to Newmarket afterwards they were not interested. On the plus side, the food in the hotel was good and of course the Italian Lakes are lovely.

We went to Maastricht to see Andre Rieu with Newmarket Holidays.
To start with the coach was late picking us up and when it did arrive it was a school bus rather than the luxury tour coach promised in the brochure. After more delays due to missing passengers we set off. The schedule for one of the pick ups points was wrong so we had to back track to pick up some passengers later after competing the remaining pickups, becuase of this we were late getting to Dover. The tour manager finally joined the coach on Dover where he caused more delays causing us to miss the ferry. From the pick up time to arriving at Dover (a distance of approximately 140 miles) took over 7 hours. The tour manager was rude, ineffective and unhelpful.
This was just the start, the catalogue of errors is too long to list. The concert was good and the hotel was nice, but the travel experience has put my husband off of coach travel for life.

We have just returned from the East and West Coast Tour of USA, everything went very smoothly and was a fantastic trip. Well organised, informative and fun. Our Tour guide Mary Klepper was excellent a real asset to Newmarket Holidays she made the holiday special as did all of the other travelers on our coach. The drivers Don and Jennifer were also excellent and made sure we got to each destination on time so that we go the maximum out of every day. Mary had lots of information and fun facts also and was very engaging. We will definitely be travelling with Newmarket again and hope to do more tours with Mary as she was so good. Thank you Newmarket, Mary, Don, Jennifer and our fellow travelers for making our time in the USA so special. Jules & Jim x
